Being able to use the inventory of your storage buildings when building or crafting is such a good quality of life change. I always figured if the villagers can do it, why can't I? Now I don't spend most of my time carrying stuff from one place to another. It's easy to make more of something than you meant to, though. I'll have to watch that I don't just use up all I have of everything, because I'm so used to just making the maximum amount that the game will let me. The dye requirements for painting houses are quite harsh, and making all that dye is pretty tedious, though on my current playthrough I have so much money that I just went and bought all the dye I wanted from neighbouring villages. :)

If your new run is going be on the valley map, you should build your village by the heart lake.

The items required to make the dyes are INSANE AND MAKE NO SENSE 😂

But did they fix the filling the buckets bug that sets all of the buckets to the lowest durability bucket? I'll test it later...
