Painting 15mm Old School Napoleon | Commission Corner

Hello everyone and welcome to the last video of 2023! I have had a long running commission project of old school 15mm Miniature Figurines Napoleonic Figures. In the most recent batch were a lot of French commanders, including the man himself, Napoleon Bonaparte. What better opportunity for making a guide on how to paint a stone cold classic sculpt of the legendary figure that gave the period its name? Thanks to my client for letting me share this. Id like to see you do horses too as i have some cavalry for the war of the 3 kingdoms to do,gordon horse and ruperts cavaliers amongst others.

Horses are something I don't do much for videos. I'll change that in 2024.

How did you mount the figures like that for painting. I’ve got heaps of cavalry to paint and can’t find a good way to mount them for painting. Thanx

I take a tongue depressor and superglue a partly unfolded paperclip to it. The model gets a 1mm hole drilled in its nethers and I superglue the tip of the paperclip wire into the hole.

by the way, Napoléon ate chiken marengo, not his horse Marengo 😁 (at least Napoléon suposedly ate chicken marengo, as, at least the name of this recipe of Italian style chicken with mushrooms is postdating Napoléon)
