I've had reactivation with W&N varnish over Xpress and Speedpaints .

It's not just me then! Fortunately as summer arrives I can start using W&N spray varnish outside again.

It was a good problem to discover when painting one of my own models, rather than when finishing a commission!

A coat of Vallejo hard coat, followed by Windsor and Newton will fix the problem. Humbrol gloss is even better, it dries in 20 minutes.

@@CullodenPaintingStudio I forgot to mention. Don't use Humbrol satin or matt varnishes unless you really do know how to use them. The matting agent comes out of solution for some reason. The gloss is perfect. Goes on like water, finds its own level and dries quick.
