Good news...got a job. Start after a much needed vacation to visit family members 60th wedding anniversary. Start at end of July. AND....get this...to celebrate...yup...weird but true...."I purchased a copy of your newest DVD". Something eh!.Okay the "eh!" gives it away...from Canada, Ottawa. AND....AND....I even ordered several tubes of Vasari paint...sweet. Saw your set there but ...whoa...too rich for now..but purchased a few of the featured greens and a yellow. Now to save for a workshop!

I'm trying to understand the process here. First he does a charcoal drawing on paper. Then he paints in oils on a panel. Why did he do a charcoal drawing on paper then switched to oil painting on a panel? Does that mean he had to draw out her face twice? Any clarification would be helpful. Thanks.

I transfer the drawing to the painting panel so that I have most of the drawing worked out before I paint, that way I can can concentrate on understanding the connecting forms within the large masses
