You never cease to amaze me with your simple paint strokes creating an entire mural. With attention to the detail of repeating cloud color in the waves, you capture Nature. Thank you for sharing this project.

That Mural was one of the best I have seen online. Can you make let us know how do you prime the wall before painting, is it house paint or regular acrylic canvas paint? Lastly, how do u finish the mural with what coat to make it long lasting and prevent from sunlight fading! Thank you

Your wife had great advice! I like to have three paintings going at once as well. When I get stuck, as I often do, I can focus on something different and it seems to allow my brain to work on the other, " problem" unconsciously. It also helps to watch other painters, like you, that are creative and unlike me, scientific. I am still working on the concept of light. Many years and I still don't get it. Thanks for sharing!

Really like the 1 day mural, fantastic colour palette, love the colours in the ocean, sure to brighten anyone's day who sees it. Also really like the rafting paintings, can't wait to see the completed project. Are those your "colour studies" or are you planning on mounting them to the wall in smaller areas?

Hello Joe, From the art club at CTMS... When you were younger in school, did you too, get into trouble for drawing during class?
@muraljoe5 жыл бұрын
Ha ha. Yes! But not bad trouble. I drew on my homework assignments but wouldn't complete the assignment. Looking back, the assignments don't matter too much but the attitude that made me do that held me back from my dream job for a good ten years or so.

Is it possible to earn so much on wall paintings to live richly?
@muraljoe4 жыл бұрын
Great question. I don't live richly by my own culture's standards but I pay my bills and my family is happy. I do think it's possible to make much more than I do. If you stick to doing simple jobs that are well within your ability then there is good profit to be made compared to ordinary paint contracting. But what is important is to say no to most jobs so that you can have time and energy for the few good ones.

muraljoe I am a wood artist and sculptor.I work in several mediums such Wood, plaster, PVC pipe, foam.... I am going to teach myself how to paint and I have been watching your videos for quite some time and I have learned a lot from watching them!! I am wanting to create a teaching videos for my sculpting and carving, NOT the painting.. The fact that you have videos on your website for sale, do you find that selling the videos on your website works well for you? I have been giving private lessons for a couple years now with sculpting carving wood turning etc. I am wanting to take my Art to the next level by learning how to paint from your videos, but while I do this I still have to have income coming in that’s why am asking you about the sales of your videos on your website versus patreon.

@muraljoe - Aren't you sick of KZbin screwing you over while giving all your views to awful ASMR and spammy "reaction channels" that don't have a lick of talent?
@muraljoe5 жыл бұрын
Interesting....I'm not aware of that. I'll have to look into it. I'm thankful for KZbin regardless of that though. I don't feel wronged at all for getting a free platform to show off.
@EGarrett015 жыл бұрын
Well I applaud your patience. But it's frustrating to see people who clearly have spent years developing a real talent get marginalized while talentless nonsense is given millions of views. It would be no problem at all for uploaders like you to be getting $500 to $1000 per video off of ad revenue. Look at Bob Ross's channel or art restoration channels. Sorry, it obviously doesn't bother you as much as it does me.
