Review of Novo Cast Miniatures Napoleonic Neapolitan 7th Regiment

Hello everyone and welcome to my latest video.
In this video I take a look at Napoleonic miniatures from a brand new company to the market, Novo Cast Miniatures. I decided earlier this year that I wanted to start investing in miniatures from smaller companies so this was fortunate timing, especially as I need Neapolitans for my XI Corps at Leipzig project.

An excellent review for range that is new to me. Thank you. BTW, how do you affix the heads to your figure's torsos?

I used superglue. Could have pinned the heads on for extra security as an alternative though.

@@RichardTalbotJones let's start from Colors: the red went Amaranth on the 1810-1811 (white) uniforms onward. The voltigeur spaulders were all green (sometime without frange, depending on the situation). Regarding the uniforms: the Pompon were actually Lenticular, two different circles and not spherical. The Shako also had a "V" chevron on the sides, starting from the chinsel point of contact. For grenadiers On the bearskin you would see a big metal grenade (similar to the one worn by Polish - You can check Perry plastics for reference). SAme uniform for the Flag Guard NCO's. Eventually they wore a Shako with a red pompon and tuft plume. Voltigeur used a Carrot shaped plume, Green and yellow (same used by regimental artillery) and never had a sabre, which was used only by grenadiers. Officers had a plume (or tuft in Campaign) over a white/Silver pompon (same for drummers). All soldiers wore gaiters.

@@rosariopace3872 thanks for your feedback, I can see that you downloaded my painting guide, so you'll be able to see the sources I consulted - if you 're aware of others that I'm not, please do feel free to drop me a line and let me know what sources you've consulted - its a difficult nation to research given Murat's changing tastes and uncertainties over issuing uniforms! Some of the items you've picked up on are present - e.g. shako chevrons. The models are sculpted with gaiters, many troops wore a set of trousers over their uniform trousers and gaiters - this is the option we went for.
