Normally I wait until it is completely dried. It takes 1-2 days for it.

@jimisutton80305 жыл бұрын
Now an expert Joss, but this more and anything else is what's called the underplainting: set the stage for later applications and values. hope that helps.
@harshadk45955 жыл бұрын
It helps when using the glaze tinting and layering technique; although it wasn't really used extensively in this case.

I'm a bigginer in painting.How do you sketch the line of figures? I want to know the method. Excuse me some short English.
@LordHugorion4 жыл бұрын
The Pre-Drawing was sketched on Paper before to catch the values and proportions right, then it was probably directly copied by this drawing using charcoal, graphit or another medium that easily sticks on paper. So you blacken the backsite of your drawing until its completely covered, than you put the drawing on your easel , take a pen again and just re-draw the basic features by following the finished lines. Because the backside is black under recognition of the pen pressure you exactlyapply the drawing on the canvas without painting it again from the beginning. You can add on this basic drawing more information if you want, like adding shadows, what may or not may help ypou later by blocking it in, when you use actual colour, when you begin your underpainting, remind an underdrawing is not an underpainting . Thats the basics of european renessaince-art.
