Hello Lisa, I love watching you work and love your paintings. I was wondering what color you used at about the 1:30 mark in the lower left corner. Your color sense is magical.
@LisaBBoardwine2 жыл бұрын
Jennifer, thank you so much for watching my channel!! Since this is an older video, I am not totally sure of what that color was, but it was probably a Raw Sienna or Golden Ochre from Charvin. I love color so thank you for your lovely, kind words!!

How was your experience been with shipping these paintings? I want to use cold wax but heard that it could melt if it gets too hot in transit? Have you had any issues with that? Amazing videos, super helpful and inspiring, thank you.
@LisaBBoardwine2 жыл бұрын
Victoria, thanks so much for watching my KZbin channel! I have not had any issues with shipping oil and cold wax pieces. Once they are completely dry -it won’t be affected by the heat. But make sure before you start wrapping them for shipping -everything is very dry! Hope this helps!! Thanks again for watching!!🎨

Superb! Dear Lisa, how did you apply the gold leaf? Did you start this video on an acrylic underpainting? Thanks,
@LisaBBoardwine4 жыл бұрын
Nader, the under painting was just acrylic gesso as a base. The gold leaf was adhered to the panel with clear cold wax medium, brayered down and painting around, you can seal the top with cold wax too but you lose a little of the shine of the gold leaf.

Ruth, I use Epidemic Sound for all my music, and choose many different artists/musicians, so I am not sure of the name. So glad you enjoyed it!

was this wet on wet or wet on dry? and how long in between layers should I wait?
@LisaBBoardwine4 жыл бұрын
Louise, thank you for watching! This piece was dry at the beginning (an older work) then I started adding layers and the painting was then wet in wet . You can paint layer on top of layer- with no set up time between but if you don’t want any blending or smearing of colors, between the layers, I usually wait about 20-30 minutes.

Do you work on a flat surface?
@LisaBBoardwine Жыл бұрын
Yes, I work on a table for smaller works and in the wall or an easel for larger pieces!
