Thank you, Ryan, for a Christmas Memory I have not yet experienced but will as I will paint this beautiful scene you've created and hang it above the fireplace during our next Christmas. My kids may fight over who gets to take it home with them so maybe I'll have to do two! What a fantastic tutorial. First of yours I have watched and I was almost hypnotized. You’re a wonderful teacher. I can’t wait to try this and probably more of your tutorials. Your conversational tone is so calming and seems it will keep me out of my head while I am painting along. All my Christmas memories for the first 40 years involve a view similar to this, as we always went to my grandparents cabin in the Sierra Nevadas for Christmas. All my aunts and uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters together for the holiday. Reminded me we used to go out and find the perfect tree in the forest around us and the adults would chop if down and we would drag it back to the cabin. Thanks for bringing back those joyous memories

My Favorite holiday memory is going to a forest with cousins and collecting fruit from there. Then we'll also catch fishes and all of us will cook and enjoy a small picnic under the sky. At noon, we'll go to river for swimming. It was so amazing! I wish I could do this now. Anyway, beautiful painting again, Ryan. It's so mesmerizing! I learned a lot from today's lesson too. Hi Ryan, I am new to painting and discovered your page a few weeks ago. My favourite holiday memory is now painting this painting as I did it over christmas and new year! Kinda wishing you had reflected some of the orange from the sodium vapor lights on the clouds Also, this scene reminds me of growing up in Rochester, MN. No mountains, but lots of snow. Specifically it reminds me of this one time my brother and I went sledding at a park on the edge of town, and managed to stay past dark. Walking home was a lot like this.... so cold and blue and dark where we were miserably trudging through snow, already exhausted from sledding, with the houses in the distance so warm and inviting, but so far away.
