Painting a tabletop ready Napoleonic Russian artillery battery for a charity game

Hello everyone and welcome to my latest video.
There is a battle put on in benefit of the AVCV Hub in Glasgow on the 7th to 8th of October. The organisers are organising the Borodino Big Bash to raise funds for the veterans' charity, and they needed Russians painted for the game. I offered to paint a couple of artillery batteries to donate and I have made a video on how to rapidly turn them out. Paints are listed at the bottom of the page.
After the event there is going to be an auction of the donated Russian figures to raise even more funds for the charity. Here are some links to the event so you can find out more.

As ive mentioned before im not a napoleonic fan but i do think the russians have really good uniforms.They look really good and you did a good job there.

Cheers. The Russian uniform of the later period is nice and repetitive across the infantry regiments, with only slight changes for artillery. Quite easy to batch paint!

Maybe my terrible rolling comes from my paintwork and the curse of 1s is embedded into these cannons no matter who is in charge?!

We've a really loose wha if campaign you're more than welcome to join, but the next one from that will likely be next year. So far it's my austrians taking a pounding from almost everyone else, but I believe one of the lads is going to reinforce the Germans with redcoats

Hello there, love the video’s. When you varnish, could I ask what you use to protect the paint work?

Thank you. I use Winsor & Newton Professional matte varnish spray. Very good quality and no problems with leaving a frosty appearance.
