Hello, I have a registered business in pa. Haven’t done a single thing yet. Still need to get insured(easy) but I’m stuck on a few things...I’m not sure how to go about marketing.. should I find employees first? Id hate to market my company and gets calls and get jobs without any employees yet. I just don’t know if anyone will take me serious if I don’t have jobs lined up yet. Or should I just full blown market my business and paint myself just to get things going because right now I’m kinda at a stop and don’t know how to continue... any feedback would be appreciated.. don’t have any mentors.. thank you much..

Go to the paint store, approach the painters that don't have a logo or company name on their truck or tshirt and ask them if they would be interested in more work as subcontractors. Go to a nice neighborhood and knock on doors and ask them if they would like to get their house painted. When you close call all the painters that were interested in working with you and explain them in detail and in writing what you need to get done and how much you can pay them. Check on them 3 or 4 times a day and go around the whole neighborhood asking everyone if they want to get their house painted. Look for neighborhoods with hoa, you will always find work there.

Pick a community you want to work in and canvass the heck out of it until the phone starts to ring. Put signs going in and out of every exit. Distribute flyers. Target the homes with a small social media budget based on a specific radius. Go a mile deep and an inch wide. This is a good marketing strategy if you are starting a painting business with very limited time and a limited budget, which I assume you have. Good luck.
