Lol, for an undergrad BASIC course I wrote a program that looked and acted like elections software, but counted votes for whomever I wanted. It even output a fake receipt. Faking physical rolls is much harder. There’s more variables: mass, air resistance, humidity, force, and gravity for a start.

Maybe @whyarehandlesathingonyoutube's comment about editing was technically redundant in the strictest sense, but I understood it in the context that he/she was referring to the various categories of the editing process, the cutting/selection process vs the CGI process, and not necessarily directed specifically to us, the same as your comment about not many people knowing about the large amount of CGI content in films.

You know, as much as I love these videos, I think this episode perfectly showcases both what to do and what NOT to do with style swaps. On the one hand, you have what NOT to do with the SpongeBob / Breaking Bad piece. This isn't REALLY a style swap, more so just the SpongeBob cast in Breaking Bad cosplay. It doesn't reimagine the characters of Breaking Bad in the style of SpongeBob. In that case, they'd look a lot more like Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy and a lot less like Patrick and Squidward. At the end of the day, they're still humans, and human characters do exist in SpongeBob. On the other hand, the Adventure Time / Vikings piece is the perfect example of how to do things. Jake is basically just a regular dog/wolf now, which is in line with the real world setting, but Finn becomes more like a realistic human. The backpack MAYBE doesn't make as much sense considering the setting and period, but I'm willing to let it slide since it's overall relatively minor. Conversely the viking in the AT style was perfect. You have the extreme cartoony proportions of AT, the simple eyes that characters have, and even the wolf hat is stylized properly. It doesn't feel like one character dressing up as another, it feels like that character is SUPPOSED to be in that world as their own unique person. I don't want this to come off as hating or anything, I still really like this video and the work done in it, I just ALWAYS see "style swaps" end up being one character dressed as another. Hell, it happens so much that another KZbinr, Harry Gold, has several videos doing style swaps that big companies like Nick and Disney couldn't. If you do this challenge again in the future, which I REALLY hope you do, it might be cool to take a few pointers from his videos just to make something truly incredible.
