Thanks for the tips man! Oh and when should i apply a second coat of paint. I tend to what 10 to 15 min when surface feels dry and the hit it again. Or will this keep the first coat from drying. And this would be in norm temps and latex.

Ideally, you want to follow the manufacturers guidelines, but sometimes you gotta bend the rules a little.

@@MMPRECISIONPAINTING Just curious, out here on the Pacific Northwest Coast, on the beach we get some pretty extreme weather, best practice for us to make sure the moisture content is below 15% , even if the temp is above 35* ...thanks!

You don’t paint in cold weather period. Most exterior paints latex and oil must be applied in atleast 50 degree weather and 72 hours of a sustainable temperature of 32 degrees. If you don’t your paint can bubble and peel and all your hard work for nothing. You can paint inside in the winter but most people don’t because they want their windows open. Bottom line is painting is a spring, summer and very early fall project. Never paint in the winter.
