You know why I love this series Colette, because when Adam surprised you with the car he literally pointed out that it had the clutch done and they are so hard to do on the C6 vetted and he was trying to save you the headache. Then you literally go and take it down to nuts and bolts. I love it, and can't wait to see you tearing it up at clutch kickers!

Great Job! Some tips to help for the next paint job. Turn the reducer over can so the hole is at the top, then it wont run down the side of the can when you pour it. When you paint the car inside, start at the hardest to reach areas in the middle of the car and work your wa y to the outside, if you move fast enough the center will still be wet when you switch sides and the overspray will fall into the still wet paint and not sit on top of it. For tight areas, use a smaller (door jam) paint gun. For the outside start at the top of the car and work your way down so you dont lean against or drag anything through the paint you just sprayed. Hope this helps, again awesome job! I love when you and Chris work together, such a great team! Love the colors!

Collete I first started painting spraying parts used to build spray booths and they put me in the spray room shower me how to mix the paint and they left me to it I learned by my mistakes as I had to correct them, My boss I didn;t know was checking my work at night I had none sent back to me and I had to spray small parts and large panels for doors it stays with you and it also helped when I did a load of powder coating.
@DillanFisher2 жыл бұрын
Great work! Some advice aswell would be safety equipment. Gloves and a paint suit are almost a necessity when using mixed paints that are being atomized. When going into nooks in the car the paint and air pressure always wants to shoot it back at you. You really don't want your skin to absorb any of those chemicals and clear is super sticky. Also when sanding its very nice to wear a well fitted respirator like your paint mask. Most of those masks have removeable filters that you can swap between a sanding filter and a paint filter. Just thought id throw it out there because you are killing it lately with going hands on in these big ways! Looks killer.

living and painting in Canada, mid to low 60's is not a terrible temp to spray in. especially base and clear, and such a large spray, you want that paint to stay "open" as long as you can on a big spray like that so you don't end up with dry spray everywhere. Temps below 60 I would start to get worried though

with regard to sun lamps, you might be able to get fluorescent tubes rated as sunlight color temp to fit the light fixtures in the booth, that way you'd always have them. I know they make smaller ones for aquarium hood lights so you can grow plants in your fish tank. It might make things easier when dealing with prism/metalflake paints. Be worth checking in to.

Just some things to look for when the gun starts freaking out on pressure like that is to make sure that everything is cleaned out of the gun and isn't clogging any of the air holes and if it continues you cant try to reduce the paint more so the drops are smaller and sprays out easier.
