​@@keon8625 go watch Sarah -n- Tuned, she's 2UZ swapping a 1974 Celica and making her own wiring harness. it's been a couple of episodes of that but i think shes basically done with that and moving on to other things. She also did the wiring on her SW20 MR-2 Turbo and restored her grandma's old Ford Ranger she learned to drive stick with. Tons and tons of amazing work and plenty of over- cleaning 😂

@@wogelkrafts we do it on helicopters with minimal quality control escapes. Works pretty damn good. Foam ear plugs to fill smaller bolt holes.

If you get some matte clear coat spray paint you can put that in the interior and it will give you a flat finish without having to completely redo all of the work

Painting is looking good! Something that will be a time and money saver for masking next time is masking paper. You can get a roll of it for cheap at Home Depot/Lowes. You can just cut a long piece off, tape it to the pipe, and then wrap it around the bar and run a piece of tape on down the edge. Hopefully that will make things a bit quicker and less of a pain for you when it comes to the prep!

Just be sure to use a good clear coat with a hardener, for spray cans I use Spray Max 2k or mix some out and spray out of a gun as the regular clears are not solvent resistant. Or else you'll do all that work just for it to get destroyed by a little bit of oil or gas. I've made that mistake just on a much smaller scale (motorcycle frame and wheels) lol

just as an aside, as someone who doesn't exactly have the strongest muscles, when moving a vehicle around, please push on the tires directly. Use physics to your advantage it makes much easier job of moving stuff, and it also stops people from getting sweat/grease/dust /w/e on your painting project panels

My fingers hurt just watching this. There is an attachment called the CanGun1 that snaps onto rattlecans. It has a pistol grip and trigger to make hours of spraying much more comfortable. You try, you like.

it's high quality spray paint, the only real difference is paint costs more in a spray can but it's less work than mixing it yourself, but you can't regulate air pressure and nozzle type
