What's up Forged Nation! If you are a Current or former JL/JT owner, you know that the look of the interior of your hardtop is...Gross. It looks like the inside of a cooler. There's a ton of aftermarket liners and patches out there, but we wanted to do something better than slapping a maxi-pad on it... Lol.
Would you like to take home the keys to Zeus + $10,000? Well, just so happens that we're giving this setup away. Enter to win Zeus at HTTP://www.forged4x4.com.
Our master mechanic in the shop mentioned using Lizardskin as a potential solution. I had never heard of it, but apparently Restomod car guys use it all the time to decrease road noise and insulate the car. After doing some research and calling Lizardskin we realized their ceramic insulation was a no-brainer.
Not only is it going to shield you from those hot summer days, but we noticed that it does reduce road noise as well.
The project consisted of a couple of short steps:
*Hardtop Removal - Super easy, all tools included with any JL/JT
*Masking Hardtop - Making sure to cover everything that you don't want paint on.
*Hook up the Lizardskin Sprayer to an air compressor and adjust flow
*Spray a coat working a wet edge throughout.
*Wait an hour for it to dry, apply another coat.
We are pumped on how it turned out! It looks fantastic, has NO SMELL and was a fairly easy and straightforward job. To check the product out yourself go to lizardskin.com/
