John of Bohemia was a blind knight at the Battle of Crecy 1346. He was tied to his horse. Of course he died in the battle.

He looks fantastic! Those colors can both be difficult to work with but you nailed it. I managed to get 3 of the questing knights but missed out on the command models. Who knows when (if) they'll be back in stock so I'm fleshing out the unit with some Highlands Miniatures prints. Hopefully they work out. Looking forward to the rest of the week.

This knight reminds me of King John the blind of Bohemia. He was blind but still charged into battle against the English at the battle of Crecy. Him and his men tied their horses together so he could stay close to them and they all charged into the battle. They all died fighting. Legend has it that the Black Prince after seeing this adopted the arms of king John admiring his bravery. They’re still used today as the prince of wales’ arms, the three ostrich feathers

Love the mini; Questing and Grail Knights are on my list of mini's to collect, I don't know if I'd like to play a banzai bill army like Bretonnia but I remember seeing these mini's when I was younger and never being able to afford them so it'd be great to collect them.

Awesome work as always! On the subject of the unreleased Questing Knights I think there were actually four but I could be mistaken. One with a flat helm and a big beard, one with a chain coif and circlet with a book on his sword, one with no helmet holding a greatsword to their left side and of course the "disgraced" looking one that's available from GW now.

Looks great, I did a twist with my Questing Knights where they have 1 colour from the Dukes heraldry then one of their own, they only get to be fully unique when they find the Grail! Which they won't as it's an exiles army but don't tell them that...

You jest, (probably), but I used Blackadder as the basis for my Bretonnian army. My Questing Knights were led by Flash-heart, I even had plans to my "sir" Baldrick dragging the turnip battle standard as he was too lazy to hold it upright.
