Hello Proko I just wanted to ask is any amount of imagination included in your art works and do you think we should connect to our art or separate from it?

Hi Stan! I took the time to translate the subtitles to Spanish for some friends because I really want them to see this video, as I consider it extremely informative and condenses a lot of knowledge that could be valuable to them. Is there any estime as to how long the subtitle review process would take? I have uploaded the subs for both Spanish (uploaded them a few weeks ago, actually) and Latinamerican Spanish and I'm waiting for them to go live

I've been suffering from not understanding the planes of the face and how to paint them properly for these past couple of months. I've watched and read a lot of things, but honestly, i needed an explanation that was more simplistic and, most importantly, more visual. Things like anatomy tend to drive way too far into my head in terms of detail, and I get lost in knowing where to even begin. It was daunting and, most times, frustrating. This was the first video in months were I honestly felt like I "get it." I'm not sure how to describe it, but it just made sense in a language where I finally understood the information that was being given. So thank you, honestly. This was exactly what I needed, and it now exposed me to an artist I want to know even more about.

My thoughts exactly!! The epiphany I had while watching this video has made me so excited. Same as you I've done so much reading and watching, really trying to understand the planes of the face and just exactly how to shade that...dependent on whatever light source. I already know that this video will have been endlessly helpful! I'm now feel confident that with this knowledge (that's finally compute in my head), I'll now be able to move my artwork into that next level. I can't wait to draw now! Lol. Really implementing what I learned and finally understand about the planes of the face and just exactly how it determines the light and shadow. Its midnight and I gotta get up in the morning. So, question is...do I pull my sketchbook out anyways, I'm inspired...its worth it? Or should I get my ass to bed and think about till i fall asleep... and then sometime later rewatch the video, and bring it out then? Lol. I guess I'll be an adult. Turning 30 this month. So I can't pretend I'm not one anymore lol. So I'll go to bed. I couldn't agree more with what you said though. It's like trying to understand the same sentence in a million different languages you didn't understand...then finally...AH HA!! lol. 👩🎨🙌
@rachelhartjes3134 жыл бұрын
@Taco thanks girl!! I know that tip wasn't necessarily meant for me...but i appreciate that reminder! I now know what im going to focus on. I really hope this channel has videos on both of those things...because he teaches in a way in which I understand. More than anyone else...and I watch ridiculous amounts of art channels. For a ridiculous amount of time more often than not. Lol.

@@keepyourshoesathedoor these videos are awesome but in art school you can have figure drawing with real models, which is very difficult to find otherwise, and interacting with other artists and seeing their progress and work is also a positive thing, especially for younger artists. Art school can be a good thing when the curriculum has been well developed
