You seem like a an experienced guy so help me out a little. I cant decide if I should play necrons or black templars. If you have ideas on how too squash indecisiveness, please tell me.

I know u probs don’t care but it really depends if u want an easier faction to learn and pain I would say necrons but if you’re want to really learn and take days painting I would say black templars

I've been in the hobby for a while, and the answer depends on what gets you the most excited. Both armies are very well fleshed out and full of flavor on the table top both in model range as well as rules. I would suggest looking at more lore videos right here on KZbin from a few different creators. That will give you a better "feel" for each army, as the lore is what inspires the miniatures. Second, decide/think about if you're more excited to paint the models, or play the game. Black Templars are an amazing painting challenge, and are loaded with details. Necrons are fairly straightforward, and even advanced color schemes are usually pretty easy to complete.

I think you’ve got some great responses below! I will say black templars are definitely probably easier than necrons to build if you’re a little newer to the hobby. That being said I think the Necron lore is just sooooo fun. I’d say read the Infinite and the Divine and see how you feel! And also don’t worry so much about what army is best in the table, it’s all about what you think will be the most fun! The meta changes so much!

I've only ever heard "finecast" talked about in disgust and horror. Can someone explain to someone not in the know? Isn't it just resin? Are they legendarily bad with quality control and misprints or something?
@gabbromancer3 ай бұрын
yeah they often have issues with bubbles, warping, bending and would struggle to fit together.
@rauliglesias32103 ай бұрын
As the person before said, rhey had trouble with warping with some faces being completely deformed, bubbles (a ton of bubbles), bending horrendous flash, some miniatures were krispy, etc. That, on top of being a ver poor quality resin. I had to track down some recast of stuff I had because chinese resi was better and it doesn't bend at room temperature.

For some reason the vespids never felt like they fit with the T'au imo. Couldnt tell you why, just vibes

You know if there were more auxiliary races/models I could see them being there as a point to show how different the Tau Empire could be. But I do see your point!
