Hey man, I love your channel and your work. I was in the hospital about a year ago with some tubes in my lungs. It was a very stressful time, and there were some nights that I couldn't get to sleep because of the discomfort. When that happened, I'd bring up one of your vids. Watching the way you paint and listening to the music helped me relax, and your sense of humor always made me smile. Thank you for doing what you do, dude. Keep up the awesome work.

So I just want to say that 5 years later and I'm still loving these videos. A lot has changed in the world of war gaming and KZbin content regarding painting, but this video still holds up and is so chill! Also Khador all day!

One thing that always impresses me, no matter how often I may hear it, is when someone answers a question/offers advice that contains some version of "this is what works for me, but you should do some research and experiment to find what works best for you". It's easy to fall into the trap of presenting your preferences as "fact" instead of opinion and I've heard countless people do so. Thus is already a fairly expensive hobby, and even if you do manage to make some money back through commission work, a higher out of pocket expense for a tool/product that might not suit your personal style and preferences is something you should avoid if at all possible. Hence why I'm always impressed when someone answers questions or gives advice like you did in this video; helpful and informative without trying to impress your own preferences on others. Having said that (and I apologize for the lengthy ramble) the model came out looking very nice. The shading and highlighting on the axe really struck me as quite impressive.

TheRunesmythe Thank you for the kind words! I've seen people be successful using just about any equipment/brush/paint/artistic style that you can imagine, so there's really never one right answer to anything in this hobby. All that said, Trollbloods is the best faction in Hordes and that's just an irrefutable fact :)

I just wanted to say I've very much been impressed with your videos. You make some of the best painting tutorials I've found online and although my wife isn't too happy with you/me currently (a couple of trips to the art store inspired by your videos cost us about $100, haha) you've improved my painting techniques and inspired me to paint more than I have. Thanks for all your hard work, and I'm looking forward to your next video.

SchnauzerFaceMinis I would love more product reviews if you ever feel up to them. While I own a majority of the commonly known products it is always interesting hearing what other artists use them for or what aspects of the products they like.
@SchnauzerFaceMinis9 жыл бұрын
lostsanityreturned Is there a specific product or type of product you'd like me to review? I usually don't like to do straight product review videos, but if there's a cool piece of equipment or tool or something that I find, I am always happy to share it in a painting video. I am currently working on a new video and I'm using Vallejo Chipping Medium for the first time. I'll be sure to let everyone know what I think of it when I put that video out :)

KZbin is going to revoke your channel if you keep up those horrible puns. ;) Awesome paint job! thank you for posting. In the vid you mentioned you painted a large model with your .15mm nozzle airbrush. The question i have is how tight can you make the details. It seems most airbrush artist including myself always go to brushes on the smaller details. My airbrush is only .30mm.
@SchnauzerFaceMinis9 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks! With proper thinning and air pressure, you can get very, very fine lines. But there will always be some overspray and control issues, so a regular brush is almost always necessary on smaller details. I think the only thing I painted with a regular brush on the dinosaur was the eyes and claws. The claws were big enough that I was able to highlight with the airbrush, though. But there were no fiddly bits or tiny details on that model, so it was pretty much tailor made for airbrushing.
