Hello Keith I'm trying to do what you did with my older Sena SMH 10r I have everything connected and seems like it's transmitting and receiving based on the colors of the screens on the radios but there is absolutely no sound coming through either the radio or the Sena speakers ???

Hi Marcin, I have had trouble with older intercoms... they pair up but don't transmit. No idea why, maybe an incompatibility with the bluetooth protocol? Anyway maybe check out a newer intercom system, there are some cheap ones around nowadays that work, eg. the Fodsports M1S. My review: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e32lZGdqfpyMgNk

Hi Keith, Would I need a K or M walkie talkie adapter for a set of FodSport M1-S. I'm guessing M? Thank you

The K or M adapter is only specific to your UHF radio. The Fodsport intercom will connect - via BlueTooth - to either adapter. What UHF do you have?

@@keithjobThanks Keith. It’s just a GME 5 watt
@keithjob2 ай бұрын
To the best of my knowledge the GME cannot use these dongles. I have not personally tried, but MANY people I know have tried and nobody has successfully done it. (If someone knows otherwise please post here!) The only way forward for this solution is buy another radio. The Baofeng ones I sell occasionally are cheap enough and these dongles plug straight in the side and work great.

should have been paired already. But, simply put the dongle back in pairing mode, and press the PTT button. That will pair it.

Search for this on ebay: "Wireless Bluetooth Walkie Talkie Two Way Radio Headset" Note you need to get the correct version for your application, there are K and M types. K for Baofeng radios and M or Motorola. I talk more about that in one of the build videos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYbSiKGNmM10r5o
Hi Kieth thanks so much for the video. Very keen to leverage your knowledge. If I was to look at the entire kit from scratch what would be the recommendation for the radio. I would prefer a waterproof radio just keen to understand your thoughts.

Hi I have sr 10 and connect to my phone also through my head set but cannot listen to music when I do a second phone pairing with sr 10!do you find this with this device??
@keithjob2 жыл бұрын
I don't have the SR10, but it actually sounds more like a helmet intercom problem/constraint rather than the SR10. The Sena 50 series intercoms can easily handle multiple connections, to other intercoms, phone and the UHF dongle.

I was able to get it to pair plenty of times, tried phone1 and phone2, the hjc10b has the same exact config as your sena there (same mfg) funky that no sound comes through, i can see when i close the sqelch that the bt keys up and transmits audio (blue light when transmitting from radio to headset) but i hear nothing, same in reverse, i key the bt adapter and speak and nothing happens :/ maybe i should get a real SR10... so expensive tho..

I'm having the identical results with my HJC 10B. Did you ever figure out how to make it work, or did you have to buy a different intercom?
@downhillracer8268 Жыл бұрын
Do any of you know if this blutooth adapter will work with the HJC 10B (SENA)? I get a message through the intercom unit that says it is paired, but nothing is going to or from the intercom to the adapter. The remote mic key is paired and works fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Needless to say, after 3 hours of attempting to get this to work, I'm throwing in the towel and asking for HELP! Thank you. Bob
@keithjob Жыл бұрын
I do not know for sure as I have not tested that unit. From a internet search I see the HJC 10B is based on the Sena SMH5, which is a pretty old intercom using Bluetooth 3.0. These BT dongles are using Bluetooth 5.0 (I think) and while they "should" be backwards compatible, I would say they probably aren't.

So I paired this to my Sena 20S, but my transmission comes across low volume. I put the mic all the way against my mouth, but it does not help. Any ideas?
@keithjob3 жыл бұрын
Not sure which direction you are talking about... if you mean quiet on the other UHF is it simply a matter of turning the volume up on the other radio? With the 20S EVO I have experienced this... audio SENT from the 20S is fine at another UHF. But audio RECEIVED on the 20S is staticky. No idea why. The same dongle connected to a Sena 50R worked fine. And other Sena 20S EVO's have had no problems. It's frustrating.

@@keithjob Radios receiving my transmission from the Baefung with the BT adapter paired to my Sena 20S are complaining that I am coming across low volume. Even with their volume on max on the receiving side, it is still very low. Wish there was a way to adjust that somehow.

Helpful guide Keith - Cheers. Hey has anyone paired a Cardo Freecom1 (or any Cardo for that matter) with the Dongle?
@brendan89783 жыл бұрын
Not quite answering my own question, but I ended up buying a Fodsports FX6 helmet BT unit. I don't have a quality BT unit (Seno/Cardo) to compare it to, but so far I'm really impressed by quality/$$. Keith, the UHF BT Adapter paired with the FX6 pretty much the same as your video of the Seno. To connect after pairing (ie: normal use) the UHF BT Adapter should be turned on first, then the FX6 powered up. So far they have both connected perfectly with that sequence around 30 times. Once connected the volume of the radio can be adjusted using the FX6 rotate knob (a volume knob was one of the functions that attracted me to the FX6 - glad it worked with the Adapter!). I have also connected a cell phone simultaneously with the Adapter and this causes things to get a little more complicated. With both a phone and the Adapter paired, the FX6 will play phone music and its tricky to get the phone to release its BT connection with the FX6. In fact the only ways I found was to either turn off BT on the phone, or, phone yourself and hang-up. On my Samsung S9 this released the phone connection and the UHF BT Adapter took over the connection again. I've yet to try the FX in flight (I'm using it for hang gliding), but hoping/hopeful the noise cancellation is ok. Hope this is useful info for someone trawling for Adapter info and not wanting to pay big $$ for a helmet BT unit :)

Sam mate, its a little beauty. Guys on the other end of the line say they can hear me well. Bluetooth connecting to the radio dofery has been good. Of note, I'm using this for hang gliding so although my helmet doesn't have a visor, I don't go faster than 80km/hr. If there was one thing I wish the FX6 had, it would be a connector so I could use earplugs instead if the supplied speakers. Only because when I use it for powered hang gliding my 2-stroke motor is so bloody noisy and my old man hearing is so shite these days 😄
