If you get into a train that goes to trivandrum from Delhi, and can't we predict which station at what time? This is based on your watch. His son asks when they will reach home. The father says: when the small needle reaches 12. Now the question is, if someone thinks that the needle is actually moving the train to the destination, is it the fault of the needle? Or the fault of the boy who understood it wrongly. This is what has happened with astrology as well as astrology baiters. In fact, the grahams are the needle of your watch/clock. Only difference is that there are nine needles in that clock unlike the one that we wear!! What Ravichandran said is wrong. Astrology has been told to be the eyes of knowledge. Definitely it is because it is only at the height of learning that one could start prediction. We are today understanding Artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, predictive and prescriptive analysis etc. using high speed computers. Today world economics runs on prediction. Statistics is just one tool. Hence astrology which is also prediction needs to be understood properly. Further learning is required by intelligent people and not by folk lore. Aryabhatta had clearly mentioned how there are seven days in a well and why they have been ordered in that manner from Sunday to Saturday. Ravichandran in making fun of hindu knowledge by talking about Rahu & ketu, which had been clearly mentioned as shadow grahams. These are known in Vedic age itself. It wasn't 365 says, but was initially 360 days. Very Sad state of knowledge Mr Ravichandran has !! His contempt for Hindu science is deplorable.

@@rahulraj.8863 I pity your ignorance Sir. Please understand that modern day AI/ML algorithms are also based on probability. But with probability prediction is possible. In astrology unfortunately, we have perhaps lost the technique to identify scientifically the confidence level of a prediction, which today is based purely on the intuition and experience of the astrologer. Whereas while using the computer driven algorithms it is also possible to ascertain the confidence level. That essentially means that those which have lesser confidence levels could be dropped easily from consideration. It would be foolish to assume that someone could write such gigantic treatises without any base just because we have lost those books that speak about the basis.

@@archanap3917 it has been proven that astrological predictions are mere estimates reached by studying emotional,phycological, magical aspect .it may or may not happen .only a probability. Some time 99% of predictions come true not because astrology is true but because of your brain is wired in such a way that make you feel it is true. In short astrological predictions are vague statement that can be interpreted in both ways. I have a friend who has in depth knowledge in astrology but he is not an astrologer by proffession, he predicts people's past ,present and future with 90-95% accuracy .But he himself says astrology in nothing but a pseudo science. He does not believe in it. Our planet has nothing to do with our life. So, Don't' go after astrology . its only a trick mastered by astrologers by experience .

@Original Protestant lt is observed that astrology is not the only tool used for prediction,there are palmistry,numerology,rumbology, etc which gives result to the believers. And mentalists also do the same by cold reading, probabiliy statistics,hipnosis,magic etc but they don't claim it is divine, those who want to believe astrology may believe it, but l am a not fool to believe this rubbish. As a responsible citizen l advise people not to follow this utter nonsense. Thats all. It up to everyone to follow their faith and belief . there is no compulsion but advice only.
