@chigasaki066 жыл бұрын
There were always people in those places. Do you expect them to move? A major problem stated several times is that the rains stopped coming...that has nothing to do with their location and everything to do with climate change.
@noway45176 жыл бұрын
I want them to have less children. Without so many people climate change would have taken a lot more time and maybe we could come up with a solution if we had more time. And there was always not much water, in some deserts there are underground water reserves, but those reserves took hundreds of years to form and we take it away in 20 years. Its like flowers in the desert, every hundred years there is one big rain and a sea of flowers appear, they use all the water to bloom, but then they die. That's what will happen with all the big cities we build in deserts. It is a natural process, so if we only want to follow our natural instincts to breed then maybe we shouldn't cry about the natural outcome.

You call it ubsurd now, soon the whole world will be like that if climate change continues, your ignorance is pretty far up your ass. First world countries don't have much corruption to deal with. Some one tries to step up to get rid of corruption, they get murdered. One person finds a way to get illegal water, more people down the line suffer, people make money off others suffering, people try to stop it, they try to give fair amounts of water. What else are you supposed to do. Problem is corruption in the system, not how the government is trying to manage it.

The water situation has gotten worse here, it's spreading from Karachi to Lahore to Islamabad- some of Pakistan's developed cities. It's extremely sad because while some of us will go to great lengths to preserve water, a majority of the public- especially land owners -won't ever conserve water, mainly because of illiteracy. Karachi is a coastal city. The Pakistan Government must and should run a reliable desalination project to supply water to its citizen. But the problem is that this country is plagued with corruption. Where there is corruption there is no solution. A country will never thrive if corruption is not eradicated from its land.
@sushantpandita7896 жыл бұрын
Matir Manush it's very expensive technology. Nobody will fund it. Pakistan does not have that kind of financial strength to repay lenders for such a project. We are talking billions of dollars
@sushantpandita7896 жыл бұрын
Moreover this is not about Karachi. Most of South Central Asia will see acute water crisis in a decade. If we don't preserve and make our systems efficient and stop damaging the environment further, people will sufffer
@MatirManush-wu9cc6 жыл бұрын
Sushant pandita, Notice one thing carefully. You can do almost all domestic work with saline water. You can wash your clothes, you can take shower, you can wash your utensils, you can use in toilet, you can use for all cleaning purposes etc. etc. You surely need soft water for drinking. But how much water do we need for drinking ? Not a lot. So desalination project will supply only drinking water. The Pakistan Government is quite capable to establish a desalination plant only for supplying drinking water to its citizen in the city of Karachi. There are even such kind of rich persons in Pakistan who can afford to install a desalination project under a business program. Even there are powerful business tycoons in Pakistan who have the power to invest billion dollars in desalination project. But these people will not do it because of political instability in the country. They have a fear to loss their money. The political stability of a country is very important. In Indian subcontinent there is some kind of political stability in India. But the problem is that India is never a corruption free country. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar are plagued with corruption. The corruption is at same level in all these countries.
@MatirManush-wu9cc6 жыл бұрын
sushant pandita, I don't have much knowledge about the entire South Central Asia. What is wrong going on in this area ? But I know that in Soth Asia (SAARC region) there is not much drastic change in climate condition. There is a drought going on in Karachi area for last couple years. But normally there is not much rainfall in Baluchistan and Sindh province of Pakistan.
