T20 World Cup Daily, 2024, Day 16: Pakistan v Ireland, Australia v Scotland. A shocker of a game ends the Group A adventure, Pakistan doing marginally less worse with the bat than Ireland to take the points in Florida. Far more interesting was the stoush last night in St Lucia where Scotland couldn’t quite get the job done against Australia, desperately unlucky to be going home having so nearly topped their group. Adam has Daniel Norcross with him and they’re both pretty grumpy.

"South Africa doesn't have another strong team on their group" literally couldn't have chosen a worst example. Goes to show the disconnect some people have with world cricket. Let's not forget besides the unfortunate first match where Sri Lanka played on a new New York pitch every other game was a close game for South Africa, almost losing to Bangladesh, Nepal and got close to Netherlands.

SA got themselves close to their opponents because all 3 teams had a varied myriad of spin attack and SA does have problems with it, add to that the slow pitches where they were scheduled. As for Ned, I think there's some degree of rivalry that's brewing bw them.
