When I was 15 I thought that the Comforts of Madness was the greatest album ever recorded. Now I'm nearly 40 and I don't think it's all that far off it. Maybe I should've listened to better music for the past 25 years but I found the first 3 Ramones albums and didn't bother looking elsewhere.

I agree! 'The Comforts of Madness' is an exciting and unique debut album that I often return to, having been continually disappointed by music since. Pale Saints were way more surprising, creative and inventive than many other lauded bands around at the time, and I naively thought that this was something that would continue in music. I was wrong.
