It depends what you define as isreal they are occupying lands calling it isreal and that's a crime in international law. And they are not all palestinian jews. Most are American. European. But if they stayed in their isreal and didn't expand isreal that would do a lot for the situation. Maybe some would still want them gone completely but that would be against international law if they tried to oust them from isrela proper. They do need to leave palestine or else live under palestinian rule. Just as irish people can go live in England but they can't take England's land and call it ireland. We were given our Republic and we have to be happy with that even though we once owned the whole of ireland. For peace to exit sometimes you have to give up land and both isreal need to guve up settled colonised lands and palestine have to accept that isreal within its legal borders exists.

@stuffandnonsense8528
@stuffandnonsense8528 6 ай бұрын
@@jake1776 I am well aware of the history, and I am of a similar opinion. That said, just because their nationhood is very, very young does not mean their identity is not heartfelt or vital to many of them. The Arabs of the region certainly had a distinct culture and dialect long before the British mandate and it is not beyond reason that they should be acknowledged as a distinct people. The fact now is that they are, on the whole, fiercely nationalistic and very numerous. Trying to rehome all of them in nearby Arab countries is neither realistic nor ethical. It should also be noted that whilst Faisal seemed to have been willing for Jews to establish a colony in that region, it was only to be done in such a way as would not totally displace the Arabs of the region. I think this Faisal agreement is pivotal to the history, and I think the Sykes-Picot agreement was a travesty and betrayal of our Arab allies (though not so mush a betrayal as the disgusting French betrayal at Damascus). However, I think it is reasonable to suggest that this area ('Palestine') was not included in the Lawrence agreement. This area was hugely neglected by the Ottomans because it is not of central importance for many Muslims (or wasn't). Faisal rightly thought that an influx of Jews would bring prosperity to this neglected region and he was right. Sadly that has also meant huge numbers of Arabs immigrated to the region too and one huge mistake which is often made is to imagine that all of those who call themselves Palestinians are descendents of the original Arab inhabitants (many are defended from much later Arab immigrants attracted by the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the prosperity brought by the British and Jewish control of the area). It is a very recent nationality, and the most absurd bit of that invention is the 'it's our land' line you hear again and again. The people seem to genuinely believe it, even when they are descended from Arab immigrants who moved to the area long after many of the Jews who lived there. It is no surprise (sadly) that those interviewed here who were friendly to Jews were the residents of Bethlehem. It is true that many 'Palestinians' are not Muslims, but I strongly suspect they (often Christians) would be better off in an Israeli state, with Israeli citizenship, than they would in a predominantly Muslim Palestinian state (not to mention anyone else Islam deems less than worthy of care and dignity).

I get your point, but if these immigrants were taking houses by force and killing owners I bet you would not feel the same. Anyway, the majority of Palistinians would be fine if Israel committed to Oslo accords and UNSC resolutions that were signed 30 years ago, but unfortunately Isreal did not.

I have same sentiment as you - these ladies would like to establish a Palestinian apartheid regime to replace the current Israeli apartheid regime - switch injustice from one side to the other. As for your question of Palestinians being able to buy and own land abroad - I think the problem is quantity - would you be ok with 10 million Palestinians buying land in your country to the point that it replaces its people and it’s not your country/culture/rules anymore? You can tell how brainwashed these people are if they call Palestine their country. Palestine has never been a country, but a region. The name “Palestine” is even a Roman name, Roman word for Israel’s ancient enemy the Philestines, given to replace the name of Israel to mock the Jews. After the Romans controlled the area, the Byzantine empire controlled it, then the Ottomans, then the British. It has never, not once in all of history been a country. It is, in fact, Jewish land that was stolen by the Romans, then they would ethnically cleansed out by the Muslims, and now that they’ve returned, they are constantly being attacked, regardless of recognition by over 150 nations around the world. Even Jews in the 1800-1900’s were called Palestinians because it referred to the region. The Arab Muslims didn’t have a problem when the Muslim Turks ruled the area. They didn’t protest when the Muslim Egyptians or Syrians or Jordanians controlled sections of the land. They only don’t want the Jews to live in the land that the Jews called home for 2500 years before Islam ever existed.

The irony is that Palestinians speak Arabic (a language from the Arabian peninsula) and most adhere to Islam (a faith originally from the Arabian penninsula). Jews at least speak Hebrew, a language indigenous to Palestine only. The Jewish faith is indigenous to Palestine as well. Go figure. Another irony: when the Ceusaders invaded Palestine in the 11th century, Jews and Muslims fought them together. Today, Palestinian Christians seem to be more accepting of Israelis. On another note, many Palestinians acknowledge Israeli "system" as superior (social security, health insurance, nursing homes, education, etc).

The Jewish people have maintained ties to their historic homeland for more than 3,700 years. A national language and a distinct civilization have been maintained. They also base their claim to the land of Israel on at least four premises; when G-d promised the land to the patriarch Abraham; when the Jewish people settled and developed the land themselves; and when the international community granted political sovereignty in the mandate to the Jewish people even if the British limited the "aliyah"; and when territories were returned back to the Jews fairly in defensive wars. If the Jews aren't indigenous, where do they claim indigeneity to? You can't say Europe, because there are Mizrahis aswell, and Sephardic Jews. In addition, "Palestine" is a term derived from the Roman term "Palaestina" - meaning - to invade, when they invaded Judea by expelling Jews or by massacre. The Philistines were Aegean (Greek). Palestinians are Arab interlopers from the Arab peninsula or North Africa. In case you forgot, Judaism was founded approximately 1800 BCE by Abraham in the promised land.@@hakikitosunpasabenim3088

@@husnahasanca Unfortunately the idea of a "fair solution" includes Israel self destructing which they are not inclined to do, which is a major issue for the Palestinians. The Ehud Barak offer was the Gaza strip entirely, 73 percent of the west bank immediately, and working toward upwards of over 90 percent of the west bank in a few years. Obviously this is a problem as Israel doesn't immediately put themselves at a massive security risk by withdrawing immediately from the west bank (as they did eventually from Gaza), and they don't accept a million refuges that were born in camps over decades either. Israel really should know better than to try to retain security over the desires of those that attacked them continuously. Or….. these videos as a whole are a pile of bullshit. While they are interesting in the fact that we are exposed to both sides’ perspective; it actually suffers from one logical error. Corey clearly edits these videos and compiles them himself. Who’s to say he didn’t decide to include other footage of other Arabs saying something else? He’s pushing his viewpoint very subtle, and that’s what should be understood here. By using these small sample sizes and compiling these clips where Palestinians are shown as ignorant or hateful; it does it’s intended goal. When you poll or ask questions, you’ll suffer however from one of two things. With a large sample size. I will suffer from little detail in responses in return for accuracy in my polling. With small sample sizes, I get more detailed responses but I sacrifice accuracy due to small sample size. I guarantee a Palestinian from the territories would speak very different about topics than a Palestinian raised in the west, or people from the Gaza Strip which obviously Corey can’t go there. But there’s clearly a narrative being pushed, and for the sake of peace im not replying to anyone after this comment. But you also have to understand that of course these people feel this way, they’ve been done wrong by their leaders and by the occupation, these are both obstacles to an average Palestinian. Now go and ask them how many family members they’ve seen killed. I’ve seen conflict even in my own neighborhood I grew up in the US with gangs. Clearly if a rival gang killed your family member or friend or parent (resulting in broken homes) you’ll hate the rival faction and live by violence. This is a matter of understanding, not agreeing. That’s very different. Understand what I’m writing here, but you can disagree. What I’m saying is, this channel has inherent bias(with sneaky tricks like editing out other voices) to encourage a narrative that Palestinians are hateful and ignorant. Suppose they all are even, then I’m not even the slightest bit surprised they think how they do because they experience death often, violence and harassment. Hurt breeds more hurt. You could never live a day in their lives. I cant. In fact, a great video that’s not giving inherent bias to any side of this debate, I believe it was titled can Israelis and Palestinians see eye to eye. It’s an interesting watch. Maybe when the killing stops, maybe when the occupation stops.. maybe we will see a change. Like I said, don’t agree with me, you don’t have to, but understand and ask well why is it these people say these things in these videos? That’s a great way of thinking critically about the conflict, and I think both sides need to ask themselves questions and soul search a bit.

The difference is that if a Jew is claiming that about Muslims as to driving them out, it's because of Islam as a religion itself that exclusively calls for the eradication of Jews and Christians. Islam is a genocidal blood cult and is on par and if not worse then Nazism. In fact history backs me up on this claim of them being at least on par with the Nazis as they cheered on Hitler for what he was doing to the Jews. In fact the Imans of that era claimed that their only regret was that it was Hitler and not Allah commiting these atrocities against the Jews.... That's the difference.

One of the biggest problems that many of the people in this video don't realize is that what they call Palestine has been the subject of an influx of population for centuries. The Jews have been moving there from the time of the Spanish inquisition. That is in addition to the Jews who were already present. There were many Jews from Eastern Europe who emigrated there in the late 18th century. With the emergence of Zionism, even more Jews came. When the British were in charge, many jobs became available, and that attracted many Jews and Arabs. So you can't really say that its your land and you originate there because your family most likely emigrated there a generation ago or even two generations.

An intensive course on the history of the PALESTINIAN STATE: 1. Before Israel, there was a British mandate, not a Palestinian state. 2. Before the Islamic Mamluk state from Egypt, there was an Ayyubid Arab-Kurdish empire, not a Palestinian state. 5. Before the Ayyubid Empire, there was a Frankish and Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem, not a Palestinian state. 6. Before the Persian Empire, there was the Babylonian Empire, not a Palestinian state. 16. Before the Babylonian Empire, there were the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, not a Palestinian state. 17. Before the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, there was the Kingdom of Israel, not a Palestinian state. 18. Before the Kingdom of Israel, there was a theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, not a Palestinian state. 19. Before the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, there was a conglomeration of independent Canaanite city-kingdoms, not a Palestinian state. In reality, on this territory, there has been everything EXCEPT A PALESTINIAN STATE. (borrowed from a friend) A bit more history for those who want to 'restore Palestine'. In 132 AD, Emperor Hadrian decided to suppress the Jews and their religion. He sold all Jewish prisoners as slaves after the Bar Kokhba revolt, prohibited the teaching of the Torah, renamed the province Syria Palaestina, and changed the name of Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina. He renamed Israel to erase the national identity of Israel and the Jews. So if you're looking to restore Palestine to the Palestinians, you should return it to the Jews.

All it takes is a simple history book and you'll see that the land was Ottoman for HUNDREDS of years before they lost it to the British by losing WW1. A war which they declared against the British first. The British then decided to split it between the Arabs and Jews. That's it. To be fair, she's basing her claim on Nationalism, not on a succession of states. Her claim to it being "Palestinian land" is the same principle that modern day poland was Polish (despite until 1918 it being divided between the German, Russian and Austro-Hungarian Empires). You don't have to have previously had a state to have the legitimacy of claiming one (otherwise, half of the states in Europe would have 0 legitimacy). I would say, on Nationalistic grounds, both Israelis and Palestinian Arabs have a valid "claim", though the palestinians in 48 had the "stronger" claim, largely due to recency. Today, with the state of Israel having existed for 75 years, it's a bit more complicated.

I used to really side with the Palestinians, but after watching tons of these videos and listening to “iT’s OuR lAnD!!!” like whining little children who can’t accept reality….. well, it’s incredibly hard to feel sorry for them. And I’m descended from people whose religion has been destroyed by Christianity and who have been occupied by England for almost 1,000 years (the Welsh). I don’t get to live in my ancestral homeland, I’m living on the homeland of the Ancestral Puebloans and their descendants (ie, Native Americans from the SW of what is now the US). Just like Hopi is a dying language, so is Welsh. It’s sad, and I don’t like any of it, I wish we could all live in peace with no borders and no nations, but we can’t, so here we are. At some point, we have to accept reality. Also, if the Jews were to be expelled, they should take everything they built from the Palestinians. Ya know, since it’s their land, they don’t need Tel Aviv which was built by the Jews, they don’t need any of the roads and infrastructure that was built by the Jews,they can have it the way their former occupiers, the Ottomans, left it. They seem to forget they’re speaking the language of other occupiers, and then there were more occupiers, and previous occupiers. 🤦🏻‍♀️ At least the guy at 1:19 has a soul, and the one at 7:27 also gives me some hope. Also, I do hate some of the Israelis when I hear their opinions, especially the right-wing ones, but it’s just a smaller number it seems. ETA: also the Muslims seem most extreme but are too dumb to realize not only are they speaker the language of colonizers, they are practicing the religion of colonizers. Before Tel Aviv was constructed, there was a vibrant Arab port named Yafa which later became absorbed by Tel Aviv which started out as a small Jewish settlement next to Yafa. Stop being ignorant as if Arabs did not have cities and buildings, and as if they lived in huts (which they certainly did not). That said, Arabs lost most of historic Palestine because they chose violence over peaceful coexistence. Even if they had a legitimate grievance about the U.N. Partition Plan, violence was the wrong way to settle it. They lost the entire Galilee, which was the most fertile part of historic Palestine, they lost big chunks of land further south, and kept losing more territory as they decided to expel every Jew who had settled in Palestine, even those who living there as part of legitimate land purchases from Arab landowners, and tried pushing Jews into the sea. It is no longer 1948, it is 2023, and they still have not given up the impossible dream of pushing Jews into the sea.

A country that never existed? You're playing a semantic game, with no relevance. It doesn't matter whether or not there was ever a "country" named Palestine. The area *was* called Palestine by at least the Romans, the Ottomans, and the British. There was currency called the Palestine Pound in Palestine in the early 20th century. There was a Palestine Railroad. So tell me, what is the relevance of what you said? This whole thing with people saying there is no Palestine and no Palestinians is ill logic that only works on people who can't think clearly or recognize what is relevant.

Christian Arabs in the Holy Land should be allowed to remain in the Holy Land , as they are ,like the Sabra Jews , the ancient Inhabitants of the Holy Land. Over the centuries , these people were originally Jewish Samaritans but became Christians. THe Muslim inhabitants are fairly recent immigrants , and should be sent to Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia , Egypt and Saudi Arabia , and be given the money and property of Jews expelled from these countries in the Early 1950s.There were over 5 million Jews who were expelled in the early 1950s.The Governments of these countries pocketed the money and Wealth , and the Muslim Arabs of the Holy Land are entitled to it, providing they go to the Southern Mediterranean countries . They cannot go to Libya , or Iraq , because of instability in those countries.

@@reemdaak3591 With Jews in Israel, the situation is clear: They are a people who had been kicked out of their ancestral land ca. 1900 years ago & in the 19th C, some of them nationally matured & created a national movement to establish a nation-state in their ancestral homeland.. Various Arabs living in Palestine/Israel have populated that area in the past 1400 or so years. They clearly are not historical people of that region in any particular sense as Jews are (Hebrew language, historical culture & taboos, food taboos, cultural physiognomy as expressed in Jewish literature in the past 2000-2500 years, Jewish music & musical instruments, Jewish calendar, …). Of course, that doesn’t mean that Israelis can just kick out Palestinian Arabs, as many of them would like to. The argument “I was here before, at least 1500 years before your ancestors had appeared at the scene” doesn’t hold water. But, having in mind that the official Israeli policy has long been a 2 states solution & all Palestinian representative bodies declined that offer, evidently wanting to either kick the Israelis out or to ethnically swamp them & reduce them to a defenseless & humiliated minority, the only solution is status quo. With such intransigence, mostly from the Palestinian side in the last 30-40 years, the only realistic option is status quo ad infinitum.
