Many Gay people who support Palestine are well aware of how the Palestinian people view them. But they refuse to let that blind their own humanity, and instead say, “human rights are not conditional”, which I wholeheartedly agree with. Whether you agree with the Palestinian view of LGBTQ people or not, there is no justification to murdering them and waging a genocide against them. Especially involving their children, of which, if I need to remind the viewers, over 15,000 have already been killed. Is there any court in the word wherein which you will be tried for your personal opinions? And since when has killing or abuse ever been considered a justified response against conflicting opinions or even homophobia? What world do you guys live in? And yet you will be the same ones screaming about how we need to establish democracy, but all your views seem like a cruel dictatorship run by your personal beliefs. Also, it’s worth mentioning, that there are definitely Palestinian gays, and the human rights of those gays are being blatantly disregarded by ISRAEL, because it is quite literally not allowing them to even LIVE. What do you have to say to that? I am not here to justify anyone’s crimes, but it seems like the people in this comment section are forgetting the documented war crimes Israel has been committing against the Palestinians, over the Palestinians PERSONAL BELIEFS. Which is just outrageous and crazy. It is one thing to believe something and have an opinion, but it is another thing altogether to both have disturbing beliefs and act upon them by literally trampling upon human lives.

But a more important point i wanna make is that even if the country totally violates lgbtqia+ rights, it doesn't make the random bombing of Palestine justified. The fact is, that Israel is now commiting war crimes and that's the only thing we have to focus on and complain about. Palestine has never been a colonialist country and the civilians are the victims of hamas and israel. So we have to support them, cause the human life of a suppressed individual is the most important thing in the world. And it doesn't matter if the individual is homophobic. And the idea that an entire "community" based on being a gender or sexual minority can meaningfully support Palestine or Israel is kind of silly. LGBT people have all kinds of beliefs. I disagree that I shouldn't have an opinion on it. The United States provides money and arms to Israel's military, partly because of its strategic importance and partly because of the influence of people here. as a member of the lgbtq community, I support anyone that would like to live a happy, nonviolent life. And when people show that they 'do not support just anybody who wish to lead happy, nonviolent lives,' (the majority of those interviewed here,) i lose respect, cancel support, and disengage. goodbye. If the people of Palestine would not like to at least respect the lgbtq community in return for free support and kindness (which they are in dire need of), then they are biting the only hand that feeds them... very simple. Like, how about you get nothing? because they clearly cannot help themselves at this point. I do not care about religion, kindness is free and easy, and to deny that is immature and unworthy of any continued engagement. religion aside, this is betrayal. they asked for help too, so this is so wild to me. From my perspective they can get whats coming to them now for all I care. This is a war of significantly clouded judgment. The world that's governed by religion no longer exists, everyone else has moved on to bigger and better things... I will not support someone's wish for freedom at last , if they do not support mine as well. Simple As.

I grew up in a smaller town and hadn't even met anyone homosexual until I was 18. Because of this, I went along with the homophobia showed to me by adults and peers, just because of my ignorance. After highschool I moved to a big city and immediately had multiple gay coworkers and got along great with them. Before long I admitted to them that I had been ignorant about homosexuality and influenced by other to think that they were somehow "lesser". My Point? People are scared of things they don't understand or have no exposure to. I live in a very diverse city with many gays and many Arabs from all over, and the fact is, most of the Arab people I know tell me that they had they exact same experience. It is against their religion, but if they were more exposed to diversity, they would come around I believe.
