finally i know what i ate in myanmar since i traveled to mandalay in December 2018. i saw a mother and daughter selling this BBQ tree root in the street.i was wondering what is the taste of this root. i see ppl buy some when pass through. so i decide to buy some for a try . around 0.15 USD for 2pieces.the taste is a little bitter.due to the language barrier.i don't know what i was eating that time. i even ate directly without peeling the skin.the street vendor laugh and peel the skin for me.quite a special experience in myanmar. hoping i can travel to myanmar again after the pandemic

It tastes very nice crunchy ,powdery mild taste of burn , every year we go to our home town and my relatives who r farmers gives us hundreds of tegalu ( in Andhra pradesh it's called tegalu) we put in earthen pots and dig in soil and roast it, if we put it in fog on a hut roof it becomes more tasty next day more thick tegalu moremore tasty with jaggery small pieces, I will surely eat in sankrantri time after watching your video iam carving.boiling process is little tasteless than roasted for example boiled sweet potato vs roasted sweet potatoes are more tasty.
