He commanded Morgoth's forces in the First Age and took Morgoth's place as Dark Lord in the Second Age and beyond, til his ultimate defeat at the end of the Third Age. When time began, it's thousands of years, yes. But before time itself began, there was no such limit. Sauron could be much older than Megs here by the time War For Cybertron began. Some cases, the created Lord of the Rings universe might be 55 thousand years old. But the before time factor could make something older than what established time could state.

That's if you fully accept the "aligned continuity" thing. Prime might have similarities to the Cybertron games in its history of the war on Cybertron, but there's also way too many differences and issues for it to make sense. For example, if it was serious, Megatron and Soundwave would have known damn well that the Dark Energon they put into the Nemesis brought Trypticon back into consciousness, and the Nemesis would have known who it was and would have probably been extremely pissed off at Megatron for what he did to him. I just prefer to see it as Prime took inspiration from the Cybertron games but isn't the same universe. Edit: Since people apparently misunderstand, I'm aware it's cannon, doesn't mean I have to accept it as personal cannon, especially not with vastly different designs and so many continuity errors. Just like I don't think of RiD 2015 as a cannon sequel because, well, *_look at it,_* I don't see Prime as being a continuation of the Cybertron games.

Him simply being around people like Shen and Ozai is already a dangerous game,so there is a chance he will be butting heads with them alot. I really love his addition here to the group. Seeing all these villains from different universes interacting with each other brings about a freshness of comparing character and backgrounds to see how well they can either cooperate...or clash. I just hope that whoever the next villain might be...isnt someone like Kefka Palazzo (FF6) or Joker,cause then things would REALLY be screwed 💀💀💀

Yeah, if you saw Transformers One you’d know why he hates the upper class. Especially since (spoilers) The at the time ruler of Cybertron ripped out his transformation cog when he was a newborn, and forced him as well as countless others to mine Energon to pay off a race of evil aliens so he could live like a king. And that is not even getting into the fact that he murdered Megatron’s idol, stole his transformation cog, and then after revealing that, he proceeded to scar Megatron with the face of his idol on the chest. Yeah Megatron’s hatred for the upper class is justified

Oh, I'm so glad you went with Transformers Prime Megatron!!! He's easily the best out of the group in terms of overall appearance, voice acting and evil overtone. Also, Garmadon's interruptions in Megatron's speech were a hilarious touch... And I'm going to laugh my ass off if you ever have the councils of Villains and Wise clash and Prime and Megatron don't recognize each other because they're from different Transformers universes. XD
