To find out who would actually win against Palpatine and Master Xehonort you only have to look at the power they wield. The Force is a universal wellspring of power that a person channels and this power is divided between the light and dark - Jedi draw upon the light and Sith from the dark. The Sith enforce the rule of two to limit the division of this power. Master Xehonort draws upon a soft magic system that is unclear how expansive it is or how it can be used. Point in case, Mickey uses a spell that stops time and Xehonort literally rips the fabric of space to travel between timelines. This reunion of all Xehonorts does not divide their power, but multiplied it by bringing thirteen versions of himself to the same plane of existence to combat the forces of light. Both the Force and Kingdom Hearts are as powerful as the story needs them to be, but only one of them creates abstractions as reality breaks down from its power, creating pocket dimensions so planes of existence aren’t destroyed by the fighting.

I’m not sure if he also died, but I’m pretty sure he’s still alive. One of the hazards of casting old folk for long running series.

Feels like it's perfectly in character for Xenahort's arrogance to cost him the fight; same goes for Palpatine, I wouldn't be surprised by using that approach to finish him off.

He never bragged about any accomplishments he always believed that he could be beaten by someone he deemed “an ordinary kid” (Sora) never once believing it to be a fluke. Xehanort is also created to be a spectacular strategist by almost everyone. Xehanort only believed that he should be the one to recreate everything because no one else wanted to, not because he was superior to anyone. So yeah Xehanort isn’t all that arrogant, while Palpatine sorta, most people exaggerate it a lot mainly because of episode 9. Palpatine believes he has better control over people than he actually does most of the time but whenever he knows that he doesn’t there are few that creates strategies like him.

Palpatine is a better swordman and has access to the Force. That allows him to see the vaguely see the future, predict ones movements, mind control people, force choke any organ he wishes from anywhere in the universe, rip planets in half, and collapse stars. Also, with abilities like the Power Siphon (if it worked on the Beyonder, it’ll work on Kingdom Hearts) and his version of the Ginyu body change, something Xehanort doesn’t have any defense against, Xehanort still won’t be winning more often than not. It would be the closest fight for Doom yet (certainly more than the stomps on Lex and especially Vader), but Doom would still win by a lot.

I’m a huge KH fan and I’ve Analyzed this series from top to bottom, Yes the Siphon Can take Away Xehanort’s Energy and he Can regenerate all his’ Magic Energy in seconds turning Xehanort into an endless source to draw from, this could give Doom a few wins, but Doom can’t possibly take Away the Keyblade from Xehanort, the Keyblade only works for the chosen One something that Doom is not, people have tried taking Keyblades Away from their owners before and it didn’t work, Xehanort also has experience with having his’ mind placed into new bodies and Xehanort Can even do it himself by transferring his’ Heart into Doom’s Body taking all of Doom’s powers and gadgets for himself, keeping all his’ own powers and removing Doom from having any Control (the Way this works: Xehanort once did this to Terra, but instead of attacking Terra’s mind it’s more like he took the controls Away from him reducing Terra to about as much Control over his’ own Body as a small bone, Terra even had to use his’ Power to create a new Body for himself in Order to escape after Being imprisoned for 12 years)

Not to mention that unlike Doom and his body change, it’s not guaranteed that Xehanort will be able to take control of the new body (he has to overpower his opponent first, which I seriously doubt will happen with Doom). If Xehanort doesn’t win for control over the body, it’s game over for him. It’s a last resort only thing unlike Doom, who doesn’t have such a risk. Also, Doom doesn’t need to Power Siphon the Keyblade. He needs to Siphon Kingdom Hearts, which doesn’t have such a will like a Keyblade. Also, considering that the power siphon is draining someone’s powers and making it his, I somehow doubt the Keyblade would work on that. Keyblade’s can’t be taken away by physical means, but it’s never been tested to see if it resists something different like the power siphon. While there’s no way to prove 1 side or the other, I think Doom’s power siphon would force the Keyblade to submit to his will (this is speculation though since there’s no way to prove 1 way or the other definitively).

It has the versatility yes, but it isn't as intelligent. The koopa has a great defense and can be scary when done right. However, the koopas are cowards and can't stop themselves once they are sent kicking. If you watched Death Battle Goomba vs Koopa, you get the point from the old results years ago. I do wish it could be the two from Bowser's Kingdom.
