I love this so much! All my favorite KZbinrs are getting into this game now! I've been wanting to play a new Creature Collector lately, and when I heard this game was about to drop, I had 0 expectations! I thought it was gonna be shit but after waiting up until 1am for the game to drop, I stayed up till 4am the first day just addicted to the survival mechanics alone!

@@warhawkbm bruh it's been a while since I felt like this too only other game that made me wanna get off work early to play was Conan exiles in it's game preview state too and I'm currently trying to get through MHR before it goes off a gamepass but this game has all my attention lol

@14:39 Early Access and monsters that look like people in inflatable costumes... Yeah, I am certaintly not the target audience for Palworld. Still, I enjoy the shenanigans of Ruri the King so I'll stick around.

Yeah, I've definitely heard some interesting stuff with the devs and copying other games + ai usage, but I've really been enjoying playing Palworld so far. It definitely leans into the survival games which I'm typically not a fan of, but it absolutely scratches that pokemon type itch of collecting creatures. The creatures are also really cool in their ability/skill uniqueness which makes most of them worth collecting, at least until you can get upgrades essentially. Regarding how similar it is to Pokemon, I'm honestly really okay with it. The past several pokemon games have been alright, but the performance issues are definitely inexcusable to me and I hate that the games are switch only. Hopefully the popularity of this, it being on pc, and it having almost no performance issues lights a fire under GameFreak and they actually work on the issues of the past several games. I would genuinely love to see what GameFreak could come up with if they genuinely tried (talking about them as a whole, I'm positive the devs, artists, etc. try their best with what they can) and ideally weren't locked to only switch hardware. Also, just throwing this out there. Could you imagine PalWorld with steam workshop and proper mod support...?

I'm not a fan of these survival games, never play them, but this one seems particularly boring. I have no idea where's the hype coming from except the "lol, pokemon with guns lol, slavery"

The automation of boring tasks is what I personally like.

I mean when you get down to it pokemon is pretty much the same aka the slavery bit, you beat them into submission and the capture them, later forcing them to fight for you and such. Its got aspects of ark, conan exiles, satisfactory, breath of the wild, elden ring and pokemon. Yes its not perfect, but its foundations are solid and overall it is fun. But yes if you aren't big on survival craft style games aren't your thing that is understandable.

@MrHellgate82 That's only a small portion of what you can do in the game and you can automate it all very early on with help from your Pals, so your complaints aren't really valid.
