Update 4/3/24- Single player mode won't let you change spawn points anymore. This *STILL WORKS* on multiplayer. My advice for single player is to skip the fast travel for now and manually run there when ready. *Click the "Thanks" button under the video to leave me a donation.* This took ages to make, figure out, and put together. This is by far the best and fastest most reliable way to start playing for both SINGLE PLAYER and MULTIPLAYER. I know a lot of people dread "starting over" on a new server or playing with a friend, so this guide was specifically made for not only those people, but also brand new players that don't feel like experimenting and feeling out the game trying to figure out all the OP strats. Instead, just watch this video and you'll be far, far ahead of the normies and casuals that plague online servers. You can literally be the top player within your first day on a fresh start server if you follow this guide.

You can switch your game settings to multiplayer, get your fast travel points via respawn, then change your game settings back to single player 👍 Edit: There is a ring for sale at Fisherman’s Point called Ring of Mercy (aka Pacifist’s Ring). The ring costs 30,000 gold from the same merchant that sells the Makeshift Handgun and Fire Arrow Crossbow. The wearer’s attacks will not reduce the target’s health below 1. Makes farming Pals so much easier.

Also, another must have is the environmental suit. Normally, you have to trek to the desert to get this for 30k, but those new gold sellers at the churches will sell you one for 10 dog coins. All you have to go is rummage through trash til you get 10, which doesn't take long at all for that small amount, then buy it. It's a staple piece you wear in the game until you fight bellanoir for the upgrade.

I do the same thing with the Black Marketeers, but you can save a step. After he dies the first time, place two fires where he will spawns, and he'll be on fire every time you come near the area. ETA: I just him him right before he dies.

I like how you can also change it up after playing for a while, with their open config. I been playing well over half a year, now, and decided to start tweaking the config. So, I jacked up the attack power I can do, while also maximizing the amount of pals in single player. Pals EVERYWHERE! It also makes things rather chaotic, because there's so many, they're constantly running into each other. Mass battles everywhere! Makes it interesting when you start a base without walls yet, and a Mammorest starts going into a tantrum after stepping on a chicken and they start attacking him in your base. XD

I used the volcano town tip with my first ever multiplayer. We got nitewings first for stamina/ enemy avoidance reasons. I haven't tested the ray, but the kilamari in dungeons are also really good early gliders. Not too quick, but it seems like they maintain altitude well. I used one to dodge the boss mammorest while my partner went and crafted spheres to catch it XD. So quick enough.

Flying around at night is the easiest way to find those effigies, I ended up with about 90 more than I needed, just from flying around all of the coastlines of all of the islands and grabbing everyone I could find, and then flying up as high as I could and looking around in various directions.

ive put myself through trying official servers since launch so i've restarted a lot. i like the idea of buying powerful and useful pals early but i do find the crossbow to be extremely solid especially since u get it so early at lvl 12. i prio making a lot of spheres to level quickly and getting a second base so i can split stone and wood production with lvl 2 mining and lumber pals. i usually end my day 1 getting to lvl 23 for gale claw, as it's movement is just insane. this sets up my day 2 with ungoldy amounts of wood and stone, and with these new ore yards it seems i can make about 150 of the best spheres i have available at that level. flying mount + glaeclaw gliding lets me quickly complete my low level paldex and clean up any alphas, which is how i make my gold after the nail nerf. if you have the fast travels it takes about 30min to kill all alphas that are level 11-25 and you make about 30-40k gold per route. 3rd base is used for the new ore yards as i didnt get an ore site on official servers, and day 3 ill consolidate my wood and stone bases into one base so i can make a anubis breeding factory that will further increase production. tbh, i've never made it end game bc hackers normally wipe me right after i hatch my anubis's, the new update looks like they actually fixed that though so maybe ill get past lvl 40 lols.

This is cool! At about 5:00 you mention that the chests are random, but I don't think that's right? They spawn in specific spots and will eventually respawn after being opened. There are maps online that show all the chest locations (as well as lifmunk effigies, dungeons, eggs, etc).

The chests CAN spawn in certain places, but they won't always be there. You'd have to log in and out repeatedly to get them and I haven't found a viable use for them regardless.

They have set coordinates yes, but they have rng on their spawns. Some respawn daily, others every few days, but they vary in quality each time. For example a red chest in one location may be purple or gold the next time it spawns in that same spot

Wouldn't it be a good idea to also buy the Heat Resistant Pelt Armor during the early money run? That way you can skip the cloth outfits altogether and have heat resistance when you're ready to catch Digtoise for base mining.

This is where the game has you covered. You have several options: 1) Sell to Pal merchants if you need £/$ 2) Spoiler: Once you unlock something you can essentially be the Grim Reaper and get resources from the multiples... 3) Spoiler again: Once you unlock something else you can then breed the best ones to get even better pals... 4) Spoiler again+1: Once you unlock something else, you can then concentrate them to make stronger pals Basically, nothing is wasted and there are many creative ways to solve the overload....HTH

You have to keep spamming the button to lay the fire down when you're aiming it at the bottom of the trap. Try rotating it too, it's working for me now.
