I quit wearing makeup 22 years ago and recently buzzed my hair off for the 5th time in 8 years and I feel free, liberated and beautiful. It's been four years for me, too & my skin has TRULY has never looked and been more beautiful and glowing in all my adult years; I just turned 48 btw, so this has been really pleasantly surprising to me! ( and one of the many reasons that I haven't even looked back). I think all that makeup day in and out during my more youthful years really just did the opposite for my skin at the time, but of course I could not see that back then. I thought I looked my best at the time. Ahhh, the masks we wear when we lack genuine self nurturing.

As someone who has gone makeup free pretty much my entire 40 years of life, it still astonishes me that it's such a big deal to so many people. My mom wouldn't let me wear makeup until I was old enough to get a job and buy it myself, but I was just never interested in spending the time and money on it. The few times I have had my makeup done for special occasions I just can't wait until I can wash it off. I hate stuff on my skin and feel so much better with a bare face.

I’ve been make-up free for years and always preferred fresh, clean, natural skin with moisturiser and brushed eyebrows, it’s liberating. And it is an insult when other women (and some men) say:-“Put some make-up on, you look much better with it.” (or:-“Dye your hair.”). Eff off. Always been naturally beautiful all my life, just took me too long to recognise it, I don’t need anybody else’s validation or approval. I stopped wearing makeup about 30 years ago. I was in my late 20’s and I didn’t always wear makeup. After a few days of going natural, I put on makeup and several colleagues mentioned how good I looked. Instead of being the impetus to continue to wear makeup, it actually had the opposite effect. When I am going to a function/event I will wear mascara and eyeliner but that is it. I always wear lip gloss.

Love it❤ I have been wearing no makeup for 57 years. Sending Loving Kindness from Canada's Capital 🇨🇦🙏. Mould toxicity in our bodies causes skin issues too to those you spoke to in your audience. Drew, try castor oil for removing everything. I only use castor oil as a moisturizer. Valerie I still get pimples at 57, castor oil has helped a lot. I also only wash my hair every seven days and use castor for grey hair and also as my deodorant when stinky as a personal trainer. I have been a functional medicine energy healer since the 80's using nature to heal. No medicine or antibiotics. ❤
