I met her while she was filming Baywatch on the beach in California. It was 1994, I was 18 years old and this was the height of her popularity. Not only did I get to meet her, but she invited my friend and I to sit with her and talk to her while she had some down time. We talked to her for a good while and she was the nicest, sweetest, most gracious person anyone would have the good fortune of meeting. It's been 30 years and ever since that day she will always be the famous person I admire most for just being a great human being. She still looks amazing and still has that wonderful personality and quick wit. So happy to see her on the Stephen Colbert Late Show.

Same. When she walked out on the stage I recognized her, but not as Pamela Anderson. I knew that I have seen her face before but I was trying to recall the name. Obviously I knew from the title who she was but she looks to me like another actress, I can't think of who it is she reminds me of, but the felling is so strong. After she started speaking, I knew that voice was hers. Now the visual sensation is fading. Does she remind you of another actress? Claire Danes maybe? I'm not sure. Must be old age. Or old eyes. I'm afflicted with both. Anyway, I remember when she first caught my attention when I was a young man. Of course she was beautiful, but I was struck by how down to Earth and genuine she seemed for a Playboy model, like the sudden fame didn't have any power to change her. That was just my impression, but this interview reaffirms that notion. A very pleasant person.
