Nothing like the smell after a good rain !! Enjoy. You have so much catnip to make tincture and oils!! I'm praying for rain myself I grew cucumbers for the first time this year in a blue bucket and that thing has gone nuts even in the 103 ° they are heavy feeders!! And love water I can't hardly believe those cucumbers grow so fast like over night so watch them. I bought the ones to make pickles and have already enough fir 3 quarter jars and they are delicious. They do manage to hide on the vibe so keep your eyes open so they don't over grow. They like to play peek a boo!! haahaa.

So glad you got a much needed rain. Here in central Alabama the weather is different every year. It is not uncommon for us to have 10 to 12 week droughts, but usually in July, Aug, Sept. So far this year we've had heat index readings over 100 since last week of May but we're fortunate to get those "pop-up" rainstorms every few days. So far, so good. Thanks for garden tour, first time I've seen it. Only a real gardener gets excited about the smell of the earth after a rain. Will continue to pray for rain for y'all..not too much, but enough.🤗❤️🙏

Great crops! Love all the greens. I dehydrate a couple 5 gal buckets of greens annually, so I have greens from my garden, year-round. Lightly heap on trays and leave space between each tray in dehydrator. Use as base for poached eggs, with all soups, either just tossed into bowl then ladle soup over or tossed into soap while heating. They go in all casseroles. Rehydrate in minimal broth, then sauté with garlic and onions. Endless ways to use!

I watched your post-rain celebration tour with joy on your behalf--and envy too! We've been sweltering and dehydrated dow here in GA for several weeks--grass crispy, leaves browning and dropping, some plants giving up the ghost despite valiant rescue waterings. As the old blues song says so aptly, 'you don't miss your water 'til the well runs dry.' Maybe well get a respite next week. If so, I'm gonna go out and stand with gratefully outstretched arms until I'm soaked to the skin! 😃

Wonderful tour. Yeah I found out this year from growing our plants in a grow room that is the way to go. So them being inside but then also in a controlled temperature of like 72. I wish we could have an entire grow room to grow most of our vegetables. But one thing that people can do is grow their own plants from seed and get them as large as they possibly can before taking them out to plant. I told my husband our plants look great until we took him outside😂😂😂
