Jim dead from alcohol abuse and this lady dead from heroin. To think we used to worship at the throne of these people and wished we could be like them. It has been and presently is nothing but a tragedy. As in tragedy.

A number of years I acquired one of Jim’s Anvil road case used by Pam to ship home some of his personal items. Movie camera, Air France tickets, travel slides, hotel keys, dog collar with LA vet shots, strip club matches, Jim’s PhoneBooth club membership card, wallet with car keys, miscellaneous jewelry with JM initials, Whiskey-A-Go Go ashtray, Paris travel info, magazines, half-full half pint of Jim Ben whiskey bottle and the list goes on. Interesting look into Jim’s life 69-70. I see myself as just a temporary custodian who would like to document these items and pass them on to the next generation.

Jim grave was so beautiful in the past... Now it's just cold. To popular, I love this cemetery, but now it's not the same is look like a museum... I'm think it's interesting to visit it but, the soul of père lachaise is broken...

I have visited Jim grave in 2007, have near a guard because the tomb is victim of vandalism acts of fans, the fans more time try to take a piece of the tomb.

Jim Morrison never legally married Pamela and if you listen to people that knew them both, they would tell you that they didn't even live together. She did her thing and he did his. She ended up with half of his fortune and after her passing, her parents ended up with half of his fortune. Jim's family should of received everything. Just my thoughts on all of this.

Wonder how often Pamela is visited? She is our only attachment to Jim, in the United States, since the majority of us will never visit him in Paris. Pamela is one of the lucky ones, who will not be forgotten, because who she was ‘married’ to.

If you ever get the chance go to Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. The whole experience is overwhelming, not just the grave of Jim Morrison but all the other famous people, and not so famous that are buried there. During Pamela and Jim’s later years, Pamela referred to herself as Mrs. Morrison, which Jim never objected to. Jim’s written will, left everything to Pamela. The California Probate court recognized Pamela as Jim’s common-law wife. Long term fans and acquaintances recognize Pamela as Jim’s ‘wife’. Pamela took so much solace in that recognition, even to her grave. If anybody, Pamela earned being known as ‘Pamela Susan Morrison’.

the plaque was changed at a later date if I remember correctly, it originally said Courson and the Morrison part was added later. You can see the plaque is divided in two which would also suggest this

Not sure of the timeline on this, but several years after Pamela's death, Columbus (Corky) and Penny (Pearl) Courson, and perhaps others in the immediate family, decided to "honor" Pamela's unofficial moniker for herself by creating a fictional nameplate to mark her interred cremated remains. So, for those out there who even know where her grave is, let alone who she was, Pam became something which she never was in life, Morrison's wife. I've actually seen what's behind that nameplate of hers, actually. It was in 2004, not quite April 25th the 30th Anniversary of her death, but a date close to that day, I remember. I turned that same corner shown in this video, just inside from the mausoleum entrance/gateway, in order to enter the "courtyard" room where Pamela's plaque sits, when suddenly I was taken aback by the sight of a completely opened, and missing, wall. Apparently someone had died recently (or, at some point), and there was going to be a a little service (several plastic folding chairs were lined up in there, and there was a podium near the slot on the wall where this person was going to be laid to rest). So the cemetery had opened up the wall, which just happened to also be Pamela's wall, not long before I arrived in anticipation of the service, and no one was around. No one. Which meant, I thought, as I was already peering into the post office-back room mailroom sorting slot-like little shelf which housed the plain, 6" x 6" x 6" non-descript cardboard box with an ORANGE, CA delivery address scribbled in ink on one of the sides. (that is, if I remember correctly. It was a long time ago, and I was on heroin myself daily back in that year, maybe even that day. Which is a frightening, morbid irony) At the time Pam died, I believe that her parents were still in Orange County, where Corky had been a high school principal, and where Pam herself had attended, and dropped out of, Orange High School. Ironically, I also call OHS my alma mater, having graduated in 1992, I'm from the City of Orange, and, I was born on the exact date in 1973 that Pamela celebrated what turned out to be her very last birthday, December 22nd, 1973. Coincidence?
