Hi Everyone, I've been using this on REALLY hot days just to mattify really dewy SPF and had better results but hardly any coverage as I applied it VERY sparingly. My Mum has also tried this and not had much luck with it as a stand alone foundation. It was extremely drying on her skin as well, which is slightly oilier than my skin. In conclusion, I believe that this powder is only really usable over the top of a really hydrating foundation to add a little more coverage and to mattify slightly. In my opinion it's not worth the money, but this might work on REALLY oily skins. Hope this is helpful xxx

They are like two year old children who never grow up. They become a part of our lives and our hearts. So very sorry for your loss. It never really goes away and is not made better by getting another pet any more than having another child would mitigate that loss. But the pain does lessen over time thankfully! It's so good to see a video from you, after what happened to Margaux, it's gonna take a while believe me, and remember one day at a time, some days will be easier than others. Speaking about the review this looks almost like a translucent or very light color powder. For a product so expensive I would expect so much more. I love your honest reviews when you like something it shows in your face. I love your lashes that mascara its incredible! Your lashes look beautiful!! Nikkia Joy recently did a testing on this same product and initially she was iffy about it, but then ended up really liking it. She has oily skin so maybe that's why it worked for her? but I'm with Gemma on this one. I've tried it and it made my skin look dry and cake. I also have normal to dry skin combo. Thank you Gemma for your honesty! I saw this first on QVC and thought it might be a good change from IT Cosmetics powder foundation. I can only do the ILLUMINATION version in that as all others dry mature skin out. Trick.... Apply tons of moisturizer then something like Mac Strobe Cream of LOreal Lumi Glowtion under it. You have saved me hunting and buying and returning another dud!

The only product I have from Too Faced is The Chocolate Palette, it's okay. I thought you looked really nice, when your makeup was finished, however it did look a little drying in natural light. I have verrrrrrry oily skin and I tried powder foundation years ago hoping to remedy that but instead it only dried out my skin too much (yes, I know, very odd) and it looked so dull and cakey. I haven't seen anyone like this yet Gemma! On the other hand, try the MUFE in the tin. It is amazing even on my dry non 20 year old skin! It needs a pore blurring primer in my cheek zone but i am in love. 1st powder foundation i have ever used and liked on its own xoxo

Have you seen Nikkia Joys video on this product?. Quite amazing how you both have very different opinions. Could it be that she has oily skin and maybe over time the oils from skin makes the powder look better rather than for use on dry skin?

This product works really well on my oily to combination skin, I also find it easy to apply with the sponge I guess it’s all about skins types, but for me at 40 + this is a lovely foundation, I agree under eye should be avoided, but It does hide my redness and becomes more creamy after half an hour or so.

Have you tried the MMFE matte velvet skin powder foundation. I have dry skin and didn’t find it drying at all. I did however set it with a hydrating setting spray. But just as comparisons with this one you should give it a go. 🤗lots of love thanks for your thoroughness!

Wow...... I had a similar experience with Bare Minerals original powder foundation. It is supposed to be so glowy and pore refining but on me it's just dry and cakey. It also sinks into every line and wrinkle on my face. I have several other powder foundations that do not do that which is why I like powder foundations so much during the summer. The Bare Minerals on my face also broke down in a matter of 2 hours looking patchy and just plain awful. I can totally relate to what you went through with this product. :-)

It's a shame they discontinued the cocoa powder foundation, it was so lightweight but evened the skin nicely. Could build it up a bit as well without it looking cakey. Will pass on this one I think, thanks for the detailed review 💖

I know I'm very late to the party but I bought this powder and I shouldnt have, its terrible. I feel like they invested in developing the product and released it knowing it was a failure or would fail. I know Too Faced have two types of products, the excellent and the rubbish. Usually the tin packaging is a good indicator of the quality within so I think this product being in plastic really threw people. I love my chocolate gold palette, my aboslute favourite is my Natural face palette, its so good, so classy and such lovely high quality pachkaging, it costs more now but it was worth every cent of the $AU62 I spent on it. Its still available for $AU70. Its been on every holiday with me for 3, maybe 4 years. Anyway, all the things I have from them are great, except this and they could have done well, there is room in the market for a nice powder foundation for normal skinned people. MAC & Urban Decay both have something for the oilies and Smashbox and Laura Mercier have compacts for drier people. I guess there is Ofra's mineral powder but jeez thats hard to get in Australia where I live.

Gemma. As with all powder foundations and this one is no different in how i have been applying it. I always use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to really buff it in and then setting it with a setting spray. Of course i use plenty of rich moisturiser which i let sink in before applying the powder foundation.
