Ashtabula, Ohio. Just east of my home town, Cleveland. When I was a boy there was great fishing in Lake Erie. The "jumbo" yellow perch and Walleye from out near the Lake Erie Islands were what you always preferred. We had huge White Bass too. It is great to see lake Erie fishing on the come back. ;-)

Dave, thanks for the video. A common man breading that you might have on hand, use the bits and pieces of that potato chip bag. Coat the fish in egg wash and then in the bottom of the crushed potato chips. You use less oil as the oil on the chips help keep the pan oiled up. I’ve done this several times. Just a thought. Skillet. P.S. I love the Yurt Series!

Fry up some onions and potatoes in the oil and then cook the fish. The flavor makes the fish even better!

Hot sauce on fresh pickerel ? I love my fresh pickerel so much that I have never gone beyond salt, pepper, and butter. Too much of a hurry to eat. I guess there is no Cajun in my blood.
