Except at 4:30 where the pilot says 'souls on board' rather than 'pounds on board'. To be fair, suddenly realising that you are personally going to make the difference for whether 73 souls continue to live in this plane of existence, or move on to the next in the next hour or so, is probably mildly discombobulating.

Unless you want an escort to the nearest air strip, I would suggest staying out of that no fly zone. I'm sure people will be reasonable, asking the pilot to IDENT and then treat is as a drill. As long as the pilot is communicating it's not too big of a deal if they nudge into the NFZ while turning. I wouldn't do it unless it was the fastest way back onto the ground, but I can see scenarios that it could be necessary. The amount of interviews the pilot would have after landing isn't worth it.

@@redratthezip Absolutely, but for what it's worth... Airbus themselves doesn't think a single hydraulic failure is a major issue as no single failure is a LAND ASAP according to the Airbus ECAM. That being said, commercial aspects kick in along with a working knowledge of the hydraulic architecture: eg a failure of the blue system has the least consequences - and the green having the most. It might be prudent to divert and expedition from ATC may be warranted to preserve the reamining systems.

The FAA just doesn't understand "Pan-pan". Pilots declaring "pan-pan" aren't entitled to what they need in the US. Hence someone facing slow depressurization needs to declare an emergency or "mayday" where in other countries "Pan-pan" would entitle them to descend or even deviate.
