I made this and it's absolutely killer!! I absolutely love all the little extra elements (the lemon and hot pepper oil and bacon crumble) that add depth to the dish, and the combination of beans and salmon. Absolute perfection! 👌

Okay, HI! I would like to know if I could do this same recipe with chicken, as salmon is NOT affordable for me, at this moment. Hello, inflation!!! Like WHY?!!... And your face when you were taking the skin off of your salmon, your knife hit your pan... That made me chuckle! I've done that so many times, not thinking and scared myself SO bad! NOT one of our better moments! Anyway, I am going to make this! Looks and sounds so comforting for cold, dreary, rainy day! And also, if y'all want GOOD steaks, look at Omaha Steaks! 10 out of 10!

This is exactly what I've been looking for. We're so tired of eating salmon with white rice and brocolli.

When you've done this recipe a bunch of times and want to change things up again then poach the salmon with spring onion, leek, baby spinach, white wine, cream, fish stock if you have. When the salmon is almost done, remove the lid and let the sauce reduce. Serve with potatoes

The beans are super easy to whip up the day before and hold well through the week…all you need to do is cook the salmon and voila!

Yum! The beans and greens look gorgeous and the salmon belly (best luck I have finding it is at Hmart) would be so good with it!

@byrontalbott Great recipe terrible video. Just imagine having to follow along. Didn’t mention how long the beans have to be soaked for. Introduced the spicy citrus oil half way through the video even though it needs to be prepared an hour in advance. Shows how to portion an entire side of Salmon even though the vast majority of people (your audience) will just buy a filet from the store. You showed slicing an entire salmon belly but ended up using a tail piece which cooks quicker. You don’t bring any attention to that. You say that the beans need to be simmered for 45 minutes but don’t mention if that’s covered or uncovered. It looks uncovered then won’t you have evaporation. Most of the shots in the video are of you and not the food so your audience is not getting the visual cues of how the dish is progressing. Most importantly, a good chunk of the video is watching you chop onions, carrots and celery. No one interested enough in cooking to watch a dish like this doesn’t already know how to put together a mirepoix. Why do I need to watch you chopping?
