Glad I found your channel. Your perspective was spot on. I was in Panama last November during the protests (Have been living in Panama part time since 2018) and felt the same frustration with the protesters that you described. The day before Kenneth Darlington shot the protesters I was at home talking with my Panamanian friend about how I wish I had a gun so I could shoot them to get them out of my way. I needed parts for my boat from Panama City and could not get past that group in Chame. I had a planned weekend in Colombia and couldn't get to the airport to make my flight. When stopped at a protest I asked the police who were just standing around if what they were doing was illegal, which he replied yes it was unlawful. So then I asked him why he doesn't arrest them. His reply was that they were his neighbors. Very different Mentality. In January this year I was headed to Cartagena from Barranquilla one morning to make an afternoon flight and found the road blocked by a group protesting education as I was told. At least there in Colombia was an unblocked alternative set of roads I could take adding an extra hour backtracking to go around the blockade so I could make my flight. Now moving to Colombia permanently this month I will definitely have to bring a whole lot of patience with me although that was never my virtue.

He shot two people who were protesting, my man that is wrong and evil, no need to debate no need to try and stay so neutral. Let me try to make possible bias clear... have an angry panamanian or any latino person shooting two US citizens in the US for the same reason... what would happen to that latino in the US? Police shooting him down is not a too fake scenario right? And mostly unmatched force would be used against those who appear latinos and blacks too in the US, racism is so rooted in them it makes me laugh. Now, you can keep your opinion to yourself... and specially americans want to have their say wherever they go... what a coindicence

I don't think I need to point out that killing is wrong. I also don't think jumping to a racist conclusion is fruitful. It further divides people and makes people fear honest discourse. If you want me to answer your hypothetical question, I have seen people of all races and creeds do stupid things, both in the US and elsewhere. I am trying to help people understand what it is like living in Panama and Colombia so we can avoid division. Please remember, my video is not a conversation, I am sure if we had a beer together we would agree on 99% of things. Thanks

✝️🇺🇸🫶🏻Sir, do you need a roommate by any chance?❤️‍🔥 Also, thank-you for the great information. Your rate of speech is perfect, with the pauses and all, for ease of comprehension (I was a Montessori teacher). Thanks, again!❤️🤍💙✝️🇺🇸

Thank you for your comment. I have lived in many places with non-native English speakers, I guess speaking clearly and slowly comes naturally after so many years.
