Porsche test driver Lars Kern (36) completed a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife (20.832 kilometres) with the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid in just 7:24.172 minutes. With this notarised time, Porsche set the record for the fastest top-class saloon with a combustion and hybrid engine in the official ranking of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG. The new Panamera broke the existing record in this car class by 3.62 seconds. The record lap was driven by Lars Kern on 12 July 2024. To protect the driver, the record-breaking Panamera was equipped with a racing seat and a safety cage, but otherwise corresponded to the series version.

Porsche-Testfahrer Lars Kern (36) absolvierte eine komplette Runde (20,832 Kilometer) mit dem Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid auf der Nürburgring-Nordschleife in nur 7:24,172 Minuten. Mit dieser notariell beglaubigten Zeit holt sich Porsche den Rekord für die schnellste Oberklasse-Limousine mit Verbrenner und Hybrid in der offiziellen Rangliste der Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG zurück. Der neue Panamera unterbietet die bisherige Bestzeit in dieser Fahrzeugklasse um 3,62 Sekunden. Lars Kern fuhr die Rekordrunde am 12. Juli 2024. Der Rekord-Panamera war zum Schutz des Fahrers mit einem Rennsitz und einem Sicherheitskäfig ausgerüstet, entsprach ansonsten aber dem Serienstand.

Faster than a Model S Plaid despite having like 300hp less and being heavier than the Model S, and not using fully slick tires like the Model S used. And on rain too.

Eine Meisterleistung von Porsche und Lars Kern, 2365kg in 7:24min um die Nordschleife zu fahren. Wenn es einer schafft nah an die 6:29min des AMG ONE mit dem neuen GT2 RS ranzukommen, dann Lars Kern.

Man müsste wissen wie viel PS der hat. Die Fahrzeuge haben immer mehr Leistung auf der Nordschleife. Serienangabe sind 782-PS.

In US-notation with decimal point it would be 20.382 km, but in Europe we use the decimal comma as separator - 20,832km is 20 km and 832 m, as in most contries with metric system 😊

@@resadrecebli2263 I don't see AMG and M doing this..... It's called cheating to gain advantages. high end material rolling cage with seats deleted and replacing drivers seat with racing seat is huge. You are not forced to do that.

@@resadrecebli2263 I don't think it's mandatory, the M3 and M4 didn't have any rollcages. And you cannot deny that a rollcage would benefit a large car such as the Panamera, especially since you can clearly see that part of the interior paneling was stripped out. Like, I love Porsche as much as the next guy but this is a bit suspicious to me.

Porsche, not VW. This is a common misconception. The Porsche family owns Porsche SE, which owns: 1. Porsche Engineering and Design 2. VW AG, which in t owns Porsche manufacturing (probably easier to manage this way) So Porsche actually owns the whole lot.

2021 ist der BMW CS mit 635 PS und 1858 kg, 7:29min gefahren. Lars ist 2020 mit dem Vorgänger Modell von Porsche schon eine 7.29min gefahren. Ein 2019 Porsche 992.1 Carrera 2s mit 450 PS und ca. 1550kg schafft es in 7:25min.
