I have just purchased my 2nd FZ80, after dropping my 1st out of the auto a few months ago. got one of these cameras a couple of days ago as a starter camera, been wanting to get a proper camera for vacation photos since i'm done with using cellphones to take pictures, and i was looking ath the cannon hs540 and the fz82 was just 50€ more with a load of extra features, so i think it was a good choice and a great deal. however, after years without a decent camera and it not having controls on the lens, the menus where a bit overwhelming at first. That being said, massive thanks for putting up these videos, real lucky to have found them, they've been a huge help. Been learning so much, and far more than i could hope to by myself. Keep it up, very good work, fine sir.

I take a lot of bird pictures and as you know they don't sit still and I cannot go on changing settings as my chance to take a good photo is very limited. What is the best setting in P mode with shake control etc I can use. The IA setting does not seem to work too well for me as the subject is often blurred. Can you give me settings that I do not need to change constantly for these birds? I'd appreciate your help.

Very enjoyable and clear cut instruction and explanation. Thank you. I'm considering buying this camera to use as my long zoom alongside my 5D MkIV which is a big learning curve for me. It will also replace my FZ200 but will it? The FZ200 did magnificent service, mostly without my input! I'm worried not having f/2.8 all the way through with the FZ80 will make low light situations untenable whereas the FZ200 took that in its stride. Any thoughts on this please, should I or shouldn't I? Apologies for the long Q.

Great video graham , thanks for sharing , i feel like i'm learning all over again , i noticed the grass didn't look very green in your camera window , but I also noticed that you had it in Raw , was that the reason that it wasn't so bright ? , & what made you pick raw ?
@GrahamHoughton126 жыл бұрын
It's actually in RAW+fine Jpeg mode. I will add the RAW file for future use if the image is worth it - but all the images here are the JPEG ones from the cameras. The image on the viewfinder is at maximum brightness to show up in the bright daylight and hence looks "washed out"

Dear Mr.Graham. I briefly had the Panasonic lumix 80 but had to send it back because of picture quality due to a small sensor. I bought a Nikon 3500 instead. The Lumix FZ80 is a great camera for wildlife and for capturing things that require zoom. But if you are a beginner photographer who wants to get real pictures and not interested in 4K video capabilities then the Nikon 3500 and Nikon 5600 are excellent. The Lumix FZ80 is an overpriced point and shoot camera in my opinion.
