In this video I take a look at the concept of shooting in the Aperture or Shutter priority modes where aperture is used to control the depth of field (or front to back sharpness) in an image and shutter speed is used to control subject motion blur.
However because of the fact that this lens, unlike the FZ300, does not have a constant aperture (stays the same value even if the lens is zoomed to a longer focal length) the use of these methods is very limited as I point out during the shoot. For this reason I do advocate shootingP mode and choosing an aperture/shutter speed to create the image look that you desire.
I also look at the challenge of low light shooting with this camera.
An ebook to accompany the series will be available soon.
