Panasonic Lumix FZ80 / FZ82 - Moon zooming

I have the same camera (and tried to get the same shot of the moon as well), but didn't realize it had such high-powered digital zoom. So, you didn't use any additional lenses, right? Just the stock lens? Impressed... I subscribed!

Which is the best super zoom camera to see moon and planets. Nikon p900, p950, p1000 or lumix fz80, fz82 or any other camera please suggest me 3 option.

Hi, the Bridge superzoom camera with the greatest focal length is the Nikon P1000. Then the P950. I'm not experienced on astro-photography, only tried to video the moon. I use the FZ-80 for birds/nature videography. With those cameras I not sure you will be able to see Planets in details like the moon, maybe be able to see that Saturns have rings and that Jupiter have 4 moons. Advise you to check astro-photography sites for better equipment.

What kind of focus mode or settings do you use, i cant get a sharp image at 6720 bought this cam today

i think this video was AFC. today I'm using AFF since is more adequate for birds. point to the moon but try to beginning recording video with no zoom - from 20mm - then zoom in to the moon and let some time to the auto focus work. hope you enjoy your fz-80. because the small sensor use the fz-80 in good light conditions and iso no more then 800. advise you to see : kzbin.info/www/bejne/op-zkoOsiMqciLM kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaTGmqeloNChmsk

hi Matias, thanks and sorry for the delay on answering. you can reach zoom from 28 to 6720mm on a video using 4k 30p resolution. mainly i use the P and M mode. the video here was on P mode. and you need "i-zoom" and "digital zoom" to be ON

If you turn izoom and digital zoom on and turn to 30 fps you can take the zoom to 9800 👍🏻

the maximum optical zoom for video is from 28mm to 1680mm x60 - I mentioned that in the begining of the video. then there are more two zoom ranges "i" and digital that goes up to 6720mm giving x240 zoom !

It is simply: You have find in menu work tool - Live view Mode (Eco 30fps - turn in 30 or 60 fps)..then turn on digital zoom and izoom. And you have 9782mm zoom.....
