I switched from Nikon to Fuji to M43, and used the G80 for 2 years. Loved it, and I used it 90% for photography, there was little to complain about tbh, but I always had intended to return to Fuji once the X-H1 became more affordable [I just need to have IBIS] - and I have done, I've gone back to Fuji with the X-H1 but really, I would have still been happy to keep using the G80. I found images crisp and clear and very easy to post process the RAW files. I also found it not near as bad as many would have you believe when it comes to ISO performance. Ok, M43 is never as good as the better APSC let alone FF, but I found the noise that was present to be very easily cleared up. For the money, it is hard to beat, especially if you are into video

Great video, very thorough communication style. Learned so much. You didn't talk down to me. More understandable then many other overly technical videos. Thank you for making this!!

320 dollars Panasonic Gx85. 400 Dollars 15mm 1.7 Leica Lens. 720 dollars in total. You don't need a Gimbal Additional (price and physical space) ready to use. The best. I own a Sony A6400 and Gx85. gx85 Win

My first modern photography camera (grew up shooting 35mm film) was, and still is, the G85 -- have had it about 2 years. Love it -- yes, there are some drawbacks, but for me it can take great photos and very decent video. There are some newer cameras out there (I do like the M43 system) which are tempting (G9, top-of-the-line Olympus) -- but my G85 still works great, so why spend all of that money if I don't need to (yet)? Thanks for your review!!!

I don’t think you can transfer 4K videos from the app to the phone. Maybe just 1080p videos. I’ve had the camera for the same amount of time as you. What bothered me about the camera is the terrible autofocus. I didn’t feel comfortable handing it to someone and telling them to film something with movement or getting close. The 4K crop is another small thing but it just makes my lenses even more narrow. Third well you can’t tether with this cam because it’s not a flagship model. Speaking of because it’s not a flagship model well it doesn’t get any firmware updates. I thought of getting the G9 with the current low price but I didn’t want to have the pulsating focus anymore. So I went with a Fuji X-T3. I know all cameras aren’t perfect but for me the Fuji seems to be the best hybrid for my budget. We’ll see.

Can you help me? I just purchased a Lumix G85 and the screen hinge cover on the bottom has a little bit of play in it. Is this normal?
