Just by coincidence I was thinking about doing myself a pig's bum pancake the other day; I was working on an antique Dutch boat, and I was hungry, so I thought "bacon and cheese, yes please", so YES! I have never seen self raising flour in Germany. I guess that's regular flour with dry yeast already mixed in?

It is hard to find in Canada as well. It is mixed with baking soda and salt. There are recipes on the web for making your own.

@@ms.t7614Thank you for the reply. :) No recipe needed though. Quick tip: We use tartar powder (the translations are inconclusive. They also translate to "cream of tartar" or "Potassium bitartrate") instead of baking soda. Cream of Tartar doesn't have that bitter taste of baking soda.
