I know it's a joke, but I don't think a cub could be taken that easily from a mother in the wild. These pandas are used to the babies being shuffled about; they have some trust in their keepers. You can't totally trust the mommas because they're wild instincts to protect their young could be turned on, tho.

@@summer-c7i Sadly No. Pandas have legit been observed to lose their cubs which later ends up as prey for birds of prey, snow leopards, Yellow-throated marten etc. Another such animal is the sloth. Sloths live up in the canopy of forests and if the child (which clings to the mother's belly) falls down. It won't waste energy trying to get it back. Its highly speculated by scientists that this is due to the diet of these animals which is largely plant based.
