I have a cool idea for a new quiz. Test the pandas on their knowledge of spirits by showing them a spirit and they have to guess which character it represents. For example for the waddle dee spirit you would probably have kirby represent the character as they look fairly similar

This might be hard to make as a quiz (or not if you're using some software for it), but it's honestly a ton of fun! ESAM and WADI thought they were doing bad, but they did really well - it's legit hard without a photographic memory. Marss was mashing (both the keyboard and his brain, lol), but it's all cool. I know he knows his stuff. Also I got so thrown off by Samus - I think if the Orange square was above the Red square, I would've got it instantly. That mixed me up hard.

Now this is a fun quiz. As a fan artist for Smash character alternates, part of my process has been to study each character's alts so I can have good reference points for what changes color, what the inspiration is etc. Please force the team to do this again. I love it!

lol, Marss was so done halfway through when he guessed "Wolf" for Rob's colors. Honestly, that wasn't a TERRIBLE guess, given that the red and black as well as the pink colors fit pretty well, but he'd absolutely given up at that point.

The Ridley palettes were actually evil; I was racking my brains for way too long to figure out which character had pure white on all but a couple of their skins until they revealed those were just empty spaces on the bottom, lol.

This is why I'm glad they did Mario before that, because it had a black border around the white square to show that white was a color in the palette. Without the border, it's a blank spot.

I was close on Corrin (immediately recognized it was a FE player character so it was between Robin and Corrin but I actually forgot Corrin exists) and I had the thought the last Samus color set looked like one of her alts but didn’t realize the next to last one was the Light Suit-based design.

Not exactly what you said but I got an idea from it, have a list of inputs that are bread and butter for a character. It will be obvious for the FGC characters, but think like a grab > down throw > nair x 3 and you'd pretty much immediately think Palutena. Maybe an additional hint like as to the function of the combo, whether a kill confirm or for damage, maybe OoS too.

I missed Terry and didn't believe ROB had so much black; I thought Corrin, but I was confused by the lack of skin colour, the first two being pretty much identical meant to me, that the character swaps between two different verions.

Just thought of a similar idea to this. Maybe whoever makes the actual quiz can pixelate the characters pictures. That way it’ll be slightly easier for the pandas to guess since the colors will be in their general spots and the posing will (hopefully) look familiar enough to them. Idk, just a thought since they seemed like this one was a lot more difficult lol

Easiest game they've done so far, usually if I play along I get stumped on 3 or 4 minimum but for this one Corrin was the only I missed (i thought shiek because the first two colors were the same and I remembered her having a color that was basically just slightly different saturation default) Giving Samus 4 colors was devious, had me thinking about duo characters like aegis for a hot minute before I figured it out

The other ones were way easier dude, I can even logically explain why. Because in the other ones you can know the answer by just playing the game picking your character. This one requires you two actually play using all the alts or most of them. No one does that, people pick main color or their favorite alt, that's it. Clearly you do that, but most people really don't.
