The suggested prequel title "Season Zero" is a very smart business (marketing) move as it makes this available to a broader audience (those that have played season 1 & 2 and those that have not).

Love the Hollywood Squares review style here and seeing the guys together is always a pleasure. Having the game topic floating in the middle of them is also a very nice touch that I've not seen before. Hope to see more of this guys, truly.

This is the cleanest, fullest version of Pandemic Legacy series for me. It will never replace the surprise/excitement of Season 1 but the polish and challenge is unashamedly better than its previous two incarnations. Excellent review; will love to see more of this format for future reviews!

Did the stickers work well in season 0? None of the stickers stuck well in season 2. I was extremely frustrated.

My biggest issue, people from my group from season 1 & 2 are now no longer local. So gathering the team up again is going to take some travel and coordination. Or maybe some form of remote play.

An app would be ideal. Sadly, the normal Pandemic app really stinks for multiplayer. It only has solo and you have to use Steam's "remote play together" to play with 2 or more.

I loved both seasons 1 & 2. Season 1 was easy but very fun. Season 2 difficulty was spot on for someone who's expert at Pandemic (which we apparently are, given other people's reactions). We almost liked Season 2 better, though it would be hard to pick just one, they're both great.

That's interesting. With my group, we beat 2 fairly easily whereas we got second to the lowest score category for season 1.

It's sad that this game is getting review bombed on BGG. A lot of the 1 star reviews are Russian with no comments. The reviews with comments say the game is racist or anti-Russian. I don't think BGG is equipped to handle review bombing. I think they should reset the ratings and lock out ratings until the game is out.

Its sad when people rate the game and say its a bad game without even playing it. With this one however, people were upset with the theme, not the game. The only way to express it is by ranking it low on the theme. For this you don’t need the game to be out, you need to just have the story confirmed, which was the case here.

I have to say that Roy’s audio is just this... crazy perfect volume, AND pitch. I can tell he’s using Bluetooth earphones to hear in audio, but I can not tell his out audio. Very curious what his mic output is. I can tell, maybe, he’s not using a Yeti mic (which is fine to good), but I can tell there is something on is collar. Is he using a lav mic? A Bluetooth option like a RODE or a COMICA? Very interested so I can also make my audio a bit better. Great video. Thanks Mike, Zee, Tom and Roy

Loved this dialogue guys... and very cool to have varying degrees of experience with 1 and 2. Season 1 was my favorite experience of all time and Season 2 surpassed that... I think Season 2 is so unique and quirky and it works! We actually won Season 2 and I know many folks actually lose the game at the end and that may sour the experience. We'll be blowing through this one with my 3-person team as soon as I can get my hands on a copy. Even more excited now!

From reviews I have seen... seoson 0 is really swingy! A lot more than season 1 or 2. It is not purely bad thing. As They say, the missions Are different, but the game is definitely more swingy than anything before this.

I love how BGG has 2.5 stars on this game when its not officially launched because its "anti-russian" propaganda according to some because of the premise being set during the cold war

I am not certain, but in recent videos Zee seemed to state he was not going to the studio, whereas the other guys were. So I think they played over the internet with cameras, but this is only a guess on my part.

Ah someone caught on. It is impossible for them to play a Legacy game of this capacity on camera. I mean they each must have a deck of cards right? Their deck must be drawn from a singular deck right? I could go on.

My group definitely identified with a single character for each of us in Seasons 1 & 2. There was a little switch up a couple of times, but we almost always played "our" characters.

Same here. One of the players in my group had grown very attached to Athena, our Farmer in season 2. During one session, we had switched characters so I was playing with Athena and of course, that’s the game where she got exposed and scarred. Needless to say, my friend never parted with Athena for the remainder of the season, haha.

@@brianstever2146 We just kept getting wrecked a lot of the time. I found out later that there were certain clues we missed, which would have made things much easier, but Season 1 told you what to do and the challenge was to do it. I didn't also expect or want the challenge of figuring out what the goals were. Even when we were winning, it felt very much like trudging. So, my crew actually gave up about halfway through, and I had to toss it :-(

I feel the same way. We made it to September on 2 and I lost interest. There was no way we were going to win after failing 5 months in a row. I don't know why I have held on to it.

@Mentat1231, same exact feeling. We loved S1, like you said, one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life. Season 2 was just disgustingly, impossibly difficult. We literally never lost a game. We even tried scrapping it around June, BUYING A SECOND COPY and starting over, and we still got crushed miserably. We hated it and felt we wasted $100 ($50 twice).

I personally enjoyed Season 01 better but still very much enjoyed the 2nd iteration nearly as much. We played both Seasons with two players and read somewhere that it is somehow easier that way.

We just recieved this game as a gift and cannot wait starting to play. Only one fear about the theme: my wife is born in an ex-sovietic country and asked me if it was possible to play as Soviets XD. I don't think it's possible but I hope the game is not too black and white (aka blue and red) aka the goods VS the baddies...

If you can all sit in the same room to play Pandemic together (some irony there) why are you still doing the conference call thing on all your videos? It was much better when you were all sat around a table chatting... can you not go back to that format now, seeing as you clearly have a safe 'work bubble'.

They probably also played it remote, with cameras. Tom mentioned at one point, that they stretched the campaign much longer than with Season 1&2, so that was likely also a reason, why arranging the sessions was not as easy going.

@@panthwolfy To be honest, I have not played either of season 1 or 2, so I can't judge this. Another possibility would be, that they played with masks, for security reasons and maybe even immersion, but quite obviously did not want to go this route for the talking. Or, that they indeed meet each other, and then one of them had become aware of having contact with somebody tested Covid 19 positive, so they started to do extra precautions. In the end, only they could tell their reasoning, as also only you could tell your's, why you insist them taking completely unneeded risks with meeting together just for some talking, which could be done as easily over online conference.

My Pandemic group is begging me to get this so I suspect I'll be playing it but I'm shocked that you all left out that the game aesthetically looks like garbage (IMHO of course, beauty is the eye of the beholder) . Mechanically it sounds great but it's going to be a dull theme for me as the cold War doesn't interest me (why can't pandemic be about diseases like it used to?) and that the board and cards look so bland. But its going to get played so we shall see when it's in motion.

To be honest, the first thing that struck me was the board and card art/design. I honestly really love it. I don't disagree about the theme but I can say there's at least 1 person out there that enjoys the art style.
